(Joshua Paladino, Liberty Headlines) The student-run newspaper at Rice University, the Rice Thresher, ran a satirical “coupon” in preparation for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day that mocked white people.

It ran on the “Backpage,” which is dedicated to satire, according to Click2Houston.

The fake ad is labeled “Guilt-free MLK Day Pass” and reads: “Hey there, white people! We know you have the day off to celebrate someone who managed to beat your system.

“Don’t despair – for the low price of eternal shame you can spend these 24 hours doing something productive like beating off in a sock and wondering whatever happened to your 8th-grade girlfriend. You’re disgusting.”

Conservative journalist Clay Travis tweeted about the “Guilt-free MLK Day Pass:”

After receiving backlash for targeting white people, the editorial staff wrote a response to clarify their racist statements and justify their vulgarity.

“The purpose of the “ad” in the Backpage was to encourage students to reflect on the meaning of the holiday rather than use it simply as another vacation day without classes. The reference to masturbation, of course, is crude, as much of the Backpage’s humor has been in its several decades of existence.

“The final line, ‘You’re disgusting,’ regards the previous sentence’s reference to ‘beating off into a sock.’ It was not meant to address all white people, which we realize may have been unclear.”

The Thresher’s editorial response really wasn’t an apology, either, saying United States’ history justifies racism against white people.

“This ignores the fact that racism exists in a context, and in this country, the context is the generations of oppression and slavery suffered by one minority at the hands of the majority,” the editorial staff wrote. “Given this fact, a satirical jab at the behavior of many white people cannot be compared to a similar jab at those that have suffered from the brutal history of racism in this country.”

As Travis points out, if the ad had targeted another race, the university administration would have taken action and students would have protested.

But the administration completely sidestepped the issue.

“To clarify any confusion, the university does not manage the content in the Thresher but is very disappointed with the failed attempt at satire in this Backpage piece, which is offensive and contrary to the inclusive and tolerant values of the institution,” the administration wrote. “However, we fully support freedom of speech and freedom of the press, even when we don’t agree with what the Thresher prints.

“We hope that the Thresher takes this opportunity to learn from this incident.”

And the student government praised Rice’s commitment to “diversity, tolerance, and inclusion.”

They almost got it right…except for one thing…the indoctrinated fools are obsessed with skin color…when in actuality they should be calling out the party of the KKK, the democrat party to reflect on MLK day.
The republican party passed the civil rights act.
As in the civil war it was a republican president that fought the democrat south, the party that invented the KKK!
So you see, skin color hasn’t a damn thing to do with it, racism & bigotry did have to do with a political party, and its resistance to freedom for all Americans of which MLK had a dream….A dream that all American’s would be judged on their character & NOT the color of their skin,
Which of course is no longer taught in the halls of academia!

    • Leroy Mosley

KKK is racist whites people you know who the whites are they are referring too.

      • Somanywhiners

Well, you seem to know what they meant, are you involved with this idiocy? This was not directed at one group, it is directed at all white people, and is a discussing show of racism.

      • Terry L. Socall

Yes, kkk is racist, but so is blm and antifa, so the point is?

        • Frank McGriff

          Right on Mr.Socall
We Americans didn’t bring those things over here anyway. The Dutch, Spain, french, & the British did. Get out & go home to your roots. The crybabies.

        • Gnowark

Terry L. Socall: The point is “Racism should obviously be associated with the democratic party.”

        • jacob stclair

          Roger THAT !!

  • Rolpho Signetti

He beat the system? He is cold dead…

    That is beating the system?
    Keep believing the lie!

You should celebrate mlk day, it proves at least one of you had the ability to think.

    • Karen Redd

We should celebrate MLK AND Robert E. Lee THE SAME DAY.

    BLACK PRIVILEGE

    There are African Americans,
    Mexican Americans,
    Asian Americans,
    Arab Americans,
    Native Americans, etc.
…And then there are just –
    Americans

You have the United Negro College Fund.
You have Martin Luther King Day.
    You have Black History Month.
    You have Cesar Chavez Day.
    You have Ma’uled Al-Nabi.
    You have the NAACP.
    And you have BET.

    If we had WET
    (White Entertainment Television)
    … We’d be racists.

If we had a White Pride Day
… You would call us racists.

    Then there is so-called
    gay pride day

If we had White History Month
    … We’d be racists.

If we had a White Miss America Contest
    …We’d be racists

If we had any organization for only whites
    To “advance” OUR lives
    … We’d be racists.

We have a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce,
    A Black Chamber of Commerce,
And then we just have the plain
    Chamber of Commerce.
    Wonder who pays for that?

If we had a college fund that only gave
    White students scholarships
… You know we’d be racists.

There are over 60 openly proclaimed
    Black-only Colleges in the US,
Yet if there were “White-only Colleges”
… THAT would be a racist college.

    In the Million Man March,
    You believed that you were
Marching for your race and rights.
If we marched for our race and rights,
… You would call us racists.

You are proud to be black,
    Brown, yellow and orange,
And you’re not afraid to announce it.
But when we announce our white pride
…You know we would be racists

    If a white police officer
    Shoots a black gang member
Or beats up a black drug-dealer
Who is running from the LAW and
Posing a threat to ALL of society
… You call him a racist.

…If you are white and don’t support Black Lives Matter, then you are a racist.

…If you are black and don’t support Black Lives Matter then you are an Uncle Tom

…If you are black and you support Black Lives Matter what are you?

You call me a white racist?

I call you a black hypocrite

    • Daniel Michael Lynem Sr.

The one thing lacking in your beliefs is your history of Racism in America. You have no clue of the historical context of the movements and the reasons why we have days, months and colleges. Let me see if I help you and bring some light to the situation. It’s up to you how you respond. From the very beginning, the dominant race/culture(white people) has lorded their privileged position over every sub-culture of people who are of a different skin color than them. This historical attitude of white supremacy has been ingrained in people and manifested it self in stealing people from their land, resulting in, by some accounts, millions of black people slaughtered in the middle passage. Then there’s slavery, from which there was no real freedom. Slavery didn’t end, it just continued in another form. Then post slavery, which created the most brutal, vicious violence that resulted in the slaughter of thousands more black people. All in an attempt to take care of the “negro problem”.. the solution White’s came up with was to do to black people what Hitler attempted to do to the Jews, less than 100 years later. It’s called genocide. The same attitude is still alive today in the minds and heart’s of the grands, great grands and great great grands of the founding fathers who developed this dominant culture of white supremacy. So, my point is, black people and other people of color have had to struggle against being wiped off the face of the Earth. As a result we were denied an identity. And so, we’ve had to fight for that. Where as white people have never seen one day where they were denied an identity. So, no need for a white history month or any other situation to promote an identity of white pride for white people. So, because blacks/people of color, are still victims of the remnants of a dominant people/culture who refused to even try to dialogue, admit, or understand that our life experiences are different than yours, we are still seeing a need to continue a struggle for an identity and acceptance of that identity. Until white people, and especially white conservatives, are willing to listen and at least ask, what an how can we help to bring about understanding and begin a healing process to heal our divisions, things will not get better but worse. As long as both sides dig their heels in and refuse to move towards each other in forgiveness and open honest conversation, we will be doomed as a nation, and America will never be great, let alone, great again. It starts with the person you see in your mirror every day. What’s your responsibility, what can you do as an individual? Educate yourself to the history of Racism in this country. Reach out, while pumping gas, or in line at the store, to someone of a different race. Offer to sit down and have an honest conversation. Be willing to listen and empathize not criticize. Invite them and their families to your house for a meal. You start doing this and start sharing your experience with your white friends, encouraging them to do the same. Big movements start small, and with on person who is willing to take a risk of looking stupid and being ridiculed, maybe even losing a friend or two. But it takes courage to step outside the box and do things differently. Are you up to the challenge? Just asking. Try spreading some forgiveness, love and understanding. You can make a difference. Oh, and I’m black and a conservative, I’ve been voting conservative for over 35 yrs and will continue to vote this way. But I’m conservative based on my values which are influenced and informed by my faith in Jesus Christ, which is based on the Bible, the very Word of God. Grace and Peace, Daniel

      • Somanywhiners

Black Americans for some reason seem to think white Americans “lord” a position of power over them. NO, The black American population has decided that they need to be taken care of by the government instead of getting out there and doing their own work. This is the main reason we have inner-city distraction in most major cities in the US. This is very generalized because there are quite a few black Americans who have gained a position of power due to hard work. You do understand that many black people were involved in the slave trade it was NOT only white people and it was not only this country. Many various colors of people have a history of slavery. Yes we learn how bad racism is; so when you see it manifested in a college so blantanly it should cause outrage and that you defend this type of behavior shows your very apparent racism. Genocide never occurred in the U.S. and your belief in something like this displays delusional tendencies that should have you committed. You have your identity it is that of an ignorant, inferior human being.

        • Daniel Michael Lynem Sr.

Was I ever wrong, I mistakenly thought I was getting ready to have a decent mature intelligent conversation with someone who had the ability to have such a conversation. But you sure proved me wrong. But you did confirm a truth. It’s impossible to reason with an unreasonable person. To stoop to typical name calling is evidence of your inability to engage in meaningful productive conversation..! Sad!

          • Somanywhiners

You have already proven your ignorance in your previous post. You never looked for an intelligent conversation, you only look for someone to blame because you did not get everything from life that you wanted. Well guess what your low level of intelligence, lack of empathy and compassion in your prior post cannot be hidden behind in a new post containing manifested indignity. Your lack of acknowledgement of your own racism shows a disturbing lack of self-reflection ability You seriously need professional assistance which cannot be provided online.

          • jacob stclair

I cant even comment on your ignorance.

      • CCblogging

First off Daniel, my post wasn’t about race. although, it could be perceived as racial. My post was about hypocrisy. Black hypocrisy. You black folks always go to race so here we are. In my post, I just wanted to point out that there is racism and prejudice in your race too. . Yes, there are racists in the white race and every other race too. I am not a hater and I don’t care for haters, You made some very good points. Collectively, we should all talk to one another, It easier to understand others when we talk. Actually, you are preaching to the choir as I already do the things you suggest. Peace

      • Yvonne Bennett

I would suggest a DNA test to show you that we are all a mix of races and have more in common than you think

        • Michael G. Wilson

You may as well shout to the wind for you can not enlighten those that refuse to see or hear! Save your breath it’s just a waste of time!

        • Leroy Mosley

NOW WE ARE ALL MIXED RACES

      • James McCullough

Mr. Daniel Michael, the first half of your post speaks of History of racism in America and the dominate(white) race lording superiority over sub-cultures of all other skin colors and “wiping them off the face of the earth”. Where do you get your facts? Who wrote this? I would very much like to read this point of view but I cannot find it published anywhere. I am however a bit confused with the part (and I do paraphrase) of the “dominant whites wiping all other skin colors off the face of the earth.” As I take in the planet as a whole I simply don’t see that. Please, don’t misunderstand me, my point is not to prove or disprove the information you posted merely to understand where it came from and why.

        • Kenny Albert

He was blaming the white folk for the blacks trying to wipe themselves out.

      • Kenny Albert

You are a victim of nothing. You were never a slave. You have been given protected status and affirmative action over whites and you still can’t pull your pants up and carry your own weight.

        • James McCullough

You were never a slave either, the only thing holding any human being down in this great country is their own beliefs.

        • James McCullough

You are a victim of your attitudes and beliefs.

      • minefinder624

Ah, the victim hood mindset in action. In fact slavery predates the European presence in Africa. It was standard practice in much of the continent way before Europeans showed up (also in the Americas). Tribal genocide was also common as one group would slaughter and enslave other groups . Ironically, after the Europeans showed up , it was their culture which ended or curtailed (over time) those same vices they are commonly blamed for (slavery genocide) . They also improved agriculture and health and infrastructure for the areas they occupied and governed. What is your opinion of what has happened to much of those areas in Africa subsequent to the departure of the European governing ? For much of the area , POTUS Trump’s succinct description pretty much describes it.

        • Daniel Michael Lynem Sr.

I bet you thought I wasn’t going to respond to you. No way was I going to pass up and opportunity to talk with you. Ok, actually slavery goes back thousands of years. You can read about it in Genesis. But what’s that have to do with slavery in America? Yes, slave traders first used kidnapping as a means to get slaves. But when that proved to dangerous they turned to buying them from tribes who had defeated and enemy and held them as POW’s and sold them to the slave traders. What better way to get rid of your enemy. I agree with that as a fact of history. But again, what does that have to do with the system of slavery and Racism in America and it’s after effects? To be honest I’m not concerned about Africa after the Europeans left. Africa is dealing with the descendants of those who sold fellow Africans to slave traders. Their demanding that they need to apologise for what their forefathers did. It’s called corporate responsibilty. It’s a biblical principle of the children confessing for the sins of their fathers. Germany is doing it, Almost 80 years after the killings of the Jew’s. It’s a principal of bringing an starting the process of Reconciliation. The southern Baptist Convention is doing it, apologizing for their past and openly having conversations between black and white Christian Brothers and Sisters. Only in America do people want to fight and refuse to do what’s necessary to put a stop to this madness. Yes, I’m as disgusted as you are at what this school newspaper printed. And the system that allows and encourages this twisted behavior. I’m disgusted and saddened when I hear black people calling for the killing of white people. But as a Christian man and a conservative I need to be above acting like them. I need to be above returning evil for evil. That makes me just like them. Two wrongs will never make a right. I’m fully convinced that the best thing for this country, besides the gospel of Jesus Christ, is a government system based on conservative principles and values. But we’re not going to get there by pushing a narrative like what people are pushing on here. I’d like to believe that we’re better than that. It starts with the person you see in your mirror every day. Reach out to someone of a different race than you. Have coffee, start a conversation based on a desire to really understand the other person. Don’t judge just listen and encourage them to hear you out. It just might change your thinking and start a movement in your Community that can rock this nation awake and keep it woke. I’m praying for you. Daniel

      • James McCullough

YOU have no clue of historical context….

        • Daniel Michael Lynem Sr.

I’ve always been able to have at least one person who is willing to have decent reasonable dialogue. But so far there doesn’t seem to be anyone on this post who’s willing or able to engage like that. All I’m getting is baseless accusations, mockings, and unproven statements. And not one fact based reply. I’ll try with you James, one more time. Prove I have no clue of historical context. Then you tell me what is the historical context? And, historical context of what an for what purpose? So far James all you’ve done is make baseless accusations…ie.. “I have no clue”.. “I’m a victim of my own beliefs”… “I was never a slave.” And your point is? Point is, you don’t know me or nothing about me. You don’t even know my political beliefs, or how an who I voted for in the last election. You have no clue as to what or who I support. How you respond to this message will either prove you can have a decent, intelligent conversation or you can’t. I’m rooting for you James, I want to believe that you are, maybe the only person on this post who can dialog with any ability to have a grown ups conversation. So, let’s talk man to man.

          • James McCullough

Daniel, I’m reminded of a quote from Martin Luther King Jr. (and I paraphrase) ….”I am convinced men hate each other because they do not know each other and they do not know each other because they do not communicate with each other and they do not communicate with each other because they are separated from each other and so by protesting and staying away from each other”…..Daniel, we are all slaves under the authority of the “elite ruling class” no matter our color, relegion, perceived economical/social status or country we live in or have immigrated from. The more I realized and accepted the fact the easier

      • Lynn Johnston

You have spoken the truth. How do We ALL fix it? It requires All. We can speak out and accuse all people in these days and times for many things, but those who have never experienced it, be black or white experiences, have started Relating. Let’s let THAT continue.

        • Daniel Michael Lynem Sr.

Lynn, you are right on point. We must stop with the hate and work towards understanding each other and start the healing process. We must have a heart of forgiveness. I’m encouraging people to reach out to someone of a different race than you. Have coffee, lunch, or invite their family and kids to your house for dinner after church. Spend time together and talk honestly about how your feeling an why. Be a good listener. Try to put yourself in the other person’s shoes. Empathize with each other.

    • Karen Redd

I love it you couldn’t be more right, thank you!

    • Somanywhiners

This is very well written and shows the things that must be destroyed to really have equal rights in the US.

I wanted to point out the hypocrisy of blacks who are forever screaming racism at white people. It is a double standard.

        • Michael G. Wilson

It isn’t a double standard, it is racism! They are the true racists in this country and I really could care less no matter now many times they yell that I’m the racist, and the true is that they have turned me into a racist with all of their threats to kill us off, their random attacks on lone whites, senior whites (both males and elderly ladies),their knock out games that have killed more then one white. I no longer trust a single one of them anymore. I can no longer even have a conversation with blacks because of my distrust, wondering if their planing to attack me. I now carry my gun, locked and loaded at all times, no matter where I go, because thanks to them, there is no place that I trust to be safe! They have set race relations back at least a hundred years, and for that they must be really proud of themselves!

          • CCblogging

You are wise to arm yourself because there are many black haters out there who want to kill whitey.

            Thank you

        • Fed up!

Hey CC they can scream racism all they want at me. Oh by the way I am deaf 😂😂

    • James McCullough

As horrible as it was the African slave trade (lest we forget that it was the stronger African tribes rounding up the weaker, smaller tribes of their own people and selling them to the white slave owners) was the BEST thing to happen to the African Americans of this day and age. If those poor souls were never purchased by the wealthy white American business men from the strong dominant black slave traders in Africa then were would all of the ancestors of those slaves be today? Yes, still in Africa! What would the quality of life be for all of those ancestors of the African slave trade had it never happened….because they would still be in Africa. Slavery was/is a blight on American History however it has given millions of ancestors of Africans an opportunity that, otherwise they would never have had. In fact America has given opportunity to all citizens that wish to leave their home country in search of opportunity. When a black or Hispanic thinks it’s so bad for them here in America and want to protest how bad they have it here…it’s not America that wants to keep you down, it’s America that gives you the freedom/the opportunity to aspire and succeed based on your drive and determination. And if you don’t believe that then go back to whichever African or Hispanic country that you claim to be from, have tatooed on you, have their flag flying at your home, and live there for a year. Then come back to your home here in America. It’s not America that keeps you down, it’s perception that keeps you down.

The black victimhood will never let go of their race card. Expect more whining and demands from them.

Aren’t you tired of the rhetoric?

          • Lynn Johnston

I appreciate your coming here. To listen, and state a fact. You’re tired & we’re tired but certain white people, like certain black people would like for there to be a (non-race based) way of making a new way for us all. Why does anyone need to preface a sentence with a Color in this country in now days.

        • Robert Wayne

The problem is that stupid white libturds keep falling for these race card games. Every time some black SOB starts yapping about so called white privilege, the white libturd morons cave in and side against their own race even more.

        • Jim Hall

Sadly, most of the Americans of African heritage are hard working Americans who can be proud of themselves. It’s our politicians constantly trying to use race to gain votes who keep this crap stirred up… Hillary stirred up this wave of it trying to disparage Trump and his supporters… and they enjoy stirring it so much, they just can’t let it die… what they are doing is stirring hard feelings amongst people who are mostly beyond the racism of our parents and theirs. Nobody alive today has ever owned a slave, yet we keep hearing that WE are racist… amazing how quickly stupidity spreads….

          • Lynn Johnston

You just said it all! I didn’t do it and you didn’t do it either but we continue to get blamed for it 60+ years since then. When we can all come Together to a conclusion, We All will get over this

This type of thing is why Trump was elected, white people are sick, and tired of being blamed for everyone else’s shortcomings. Things like this, are also the reason racism is on the rise. Obama divided the country, Trump is the result, if you want him reelected (I do) keep it up, you will, most certainly, ensure it.

    • laulau

Yes. I am tired of being blamed for the blacks not progressing. I made it on my own without help. Many blacks have made it. When the slaves were freed, it was up to them to make it on their own. To blame people today for how a white treated his black slave is ignorant..

These are just uninformed, wet behind the ears and ignorant youngsters, reciting the latest narratives from radicals in an immature effort to ingratiate themselves with black lives matter militant types. That fawning, adolescent behavior is almost predictable, has been since the Vietnam era gobbled up their equally- dumb parents in the “wanna-be” black militant movements. A pattern that really will repeat itself, but there’s nothing we can do about it, given the deep Left academic world’s encouragement to act out, with little or no understanding of what they’re even spouting.

  • Gregg Parker

Just wow…. nothing else…. is this education worth the cost?

  • Peter J

And I thought Rice University produced intelligent people. Mr. King would have issued a strong rebuttal to one of the most asinine articles ever published. Just goes to show you how ignorant liberals really are.

    • Alibaba

Not all people going to University are intelligent. Most of them are just opportunists. And the current educational system doesn’t help increasing intelligence, it’s just indoctrinating…

      • Peter J

        Great comment. Thanks!

  • Niko

The one constructive thing I would have done on MLK day would be to get some cats paw black shoe polish. Paint my face and hands, just leave my fingertips white to let the morons in that office know when I burst in on them – that I can be a little bit of both, HAHAHA.That would have all the morons running to the safe space corners, leaving me in the middle of the room to laugh in total unabashed ferocity!!!!!… My wife is black from Ghana, Africa and she said to me “stupid is as stupid does”, Such as my cats paw thing, but I’m free to do as I please and if I offend somebody too damn bad!!!!! Just as they are as free to write what they want…

  • ADRoberts

The blacks are fully involved in a race war. Wait till the whites go to war. You think the white supremacy movement just happened. It came about as a result of the abuse of blacks against whites.
    Matthew 12;36.

  • Joseph Miller

The current state of American public universities have degraded to the point of total irrelevance. They have become infiltrated by selfish and silly incompetents and they will destroy what was once the envy of the educational world!

  • SA Ander

Rice has always been a left fielder.

  • David

    But seriously folks…

  • stevenlehar

MLK did not “beat the system”, he JOINED the system, because WHITE PEOPLE are not racist, and we welcome everyone into our “system”. If white people were really racist, MLK would never have won.

    • Flotmorton P. Gildersleeve

Amen, but did you ever try to teach something to a fool?

      • stevenlehar

I NEVER comment for the benefit of Libtard fools. I comment for people like you. I don’t care what the Libtards think – it doesn’t matter now that we have won! The tide has turned. Thanks to Obammy and Hag Hillary! Even Dumbocrats could see that stuff wasn’t working any more.

  • Yosemite Sam

Since when did it become fashionable to keep the White Man under oppression? This is not a racist country, but the Leftists who make up the Demo-Rat Party are nothing but bigoted racists. These maniacal clueless buffoons are out to start a civil war.

    • Karen Redd

Yes they’re trying hard and what gets me is white people (or actually OUR side of white people) are doing nothing, we’re all just kicking back and doing nothing. It’s actually kind of fun watching them show their lack of intelligence, pouting in their rage because they lost lol. Yet they are succeeding in getting what they want done.

      Go figure.

      • cindy galt

Karen, seems like you and I agree with the same and only responses that make any sense. Every comment that I have agreed with and up voted, you beat me to it and voted first! Keep up the good work!

        • Karen Redd

          You too Cindy!!

    • Flotmorton P. Gildersleeve

And they think they got all of the sophisticated weapons,.,…..

    • Somanywhiners

This is why having guns for protection is necessary.

  • Tired…

Once again naive, privileged college students divide people into groups based on race, remove historical context, and then pass judgment on the individuals in the targeted group for things that they never did and do not condone. To top off their ignorance, they proceed to exonerate all other groups of any bias, prejudice, or ill intention. Only in America can ignorance be passed off as knowledge and bigotry as virtue.

    • Flotmorton P. Gildersleeve

Socrates could not have said it any better.

  • Terry L. Socall

Do you really think MLK and black associates would have accomplished what they did without help from WHITE people? Get over yourselves! Without WHITES there never would have been an America or this damn diversity, which is suppose to be so great but has created nothing but problems instead of benefits!

  • Somanywhiners

These student should be booted out of the school. Unless, Rice University is the most RACIST institution in this country.

    • Flotmorton P. Gildersleeve

      o.k. if you want a war then let’s get it on…….no mercy…..to the finish….no cryin…………

      • Somanywhiners

Civil war is becoming more likely, because of idiots like these?

  • George

Let’s face it these people that wrote this article are the cause of radicalism in America because they are the raciest ones.

  • Yvonne Bennett

Shut the damn college down if they can’t control the ” future fake news crew”. I am white and getting tired of all the BS that is going on.

    • Karen Redd

So am I, big BIG time tired of it, I feel like we are all being choked by it. But yet no one does anything, everybody just takes their BS and let’s them have their way. If “we” tried to do anything, oh no that wouldn’t be allowed, we would be arrested. We’re sitting back letting them change anything they want to, things that are absolutely ENRAGING me, and I’ll bet they are getting a good laugh out of it. The BS is probably encouraging them to keep going as far as they want to. But, I do believe when things go too far… the proverbial **** will hit the fan.

  • Frank McGriff

Disgusting black article in that trash paper. At least white folks use socks instead of cows, sheep, pets, and other aids producing creatures. Sick Most of them didn’t even go to the 8th
Grade and still don’t. I’m sure MLK would be proud of these students of filth.

  • J Whitehurst

If a student ran a satirical ad looking for blacks to come out to cotton fields and pick as much as they needed to make their own clothes, or come out to pick watermelons with all you can eat, the entire world would come unglued. That person would be called a racist, receive death threats and would be expelled from this university immediately. The world would be demanding an apology and the university would be back peddling as quickly as possible and disavowing any of this students reprehensible behavior.

No matter how hard you attempt to justify either, they are inappropriate and should not be condoned in any way, shape or form. The university needs to have the courage to make the person or persons responsible for this write and publish a formal apology. They should also take disciplinary actions to correct this extremely poor behavior and lack of good judgement.

Racism in any form is wrong and stereotypical articles, regardless of whether they are satirical or not, should not be allowed to be published. This only continues to create a divisive atmosphere and allows the hate to fester and grow. This is equivalent to fully supporting white supremacists in reverse. It is also wrong to continue to blame white people today for the problems encountered historically in the past and that are now occurring within your respective ethnic backgrounds. Everything that is wrong is not just the white man’s fault. It may very well be your own fault and failure. The blame game needs to end and people need to take responsibility for their destiny. It has become too easy to blame others rather than realize your behavior and actions may be a huge part of the problem.

Every person also has a responsibility to treat each other with courtesy and respect, regardless of race, creed, color or religion. You truly need to take a long hard look at your actions and the impact it has had on others. Your internal prejudices and assumptions may be creating divisiveness and hatred. Open your eyes and change for the betterment of this nation and the diverse people we are. Together we can move mountains, separately we can’t even get out of our own way.

    • NukeWaste

If White people hate Blacks so much, how come African Immigrants work so hard in school while few of their ‘Black American Brothers’ do so? How would Black kids even get into college if White America hated them?
One thing that I noticed; Black students were pissed that White kids didn’t care about them while they had zero concern about White kids. Social behavior is a two way street. After a while you have to wonder why a random Black guy can go into any public bar in a white neighborhood but a random White guy cannot drink in a Black neighborhood bar.

      • J Whitehurst

Very good point. It’s the typical double standard that has been used all too often. They can berate, belittle and mock you, but god forbid if you call them on it. How dare you interfere in their first amendment rights you evil racist. It’s time for all to stop the race hating and race baiting so we can lift this country up to a better place. We have been allowing the true race hating democlowns to divide us with this for too long. This is their way of using slight of hand to create division and we MUST stop them.

        • Karen Redd

We can thank the despicable piece of rotten stinking HATED garbage obummer for that, he put the dividing line up and infused the hatred. You know the scumbag AH is kicked back and smiling as he watches the destruction that he caused.

  • CCblogging

The Deep State Democrats use race to divide. The Democrats imported Muslim Jihadists and opened the southern borders to invaders. The Democrats have a war against Christians and white people and especially against white men. A white person voting Democrat is a total fool.

    • Karen Redd

Very very much a fool, and too braindead to understand.

    • kep

Liberals have hijacked the Democratic Party. Liberals are communists fulfilling Khrushchev promise of taking over America from within. They are those infiltrators that were trained in American style towns set up in the USSR during the cold war. Therefore, call Democrats by their true name, COMMUNISTS. The Democratic Party has become the New Amerikan Communist Party.

      • CCblogging

Yes, there are many Communists in the Democrat Party. However, the Luciferian Globalist Elites that control the Deep State Democrat Party are Fascists. The Democrat Communists are useful idiots for the Democrat Fascists. A true Communist believes that the state owns all, so you have no private property rights. Fascism allows private property, BUT the Fascist State totally controls that property. Both ideologies demand Total Control with no personal freedoms allowed. Both Communism and Fascism are far left ideologies. In my opinion, there ain’t a Nickle’s worth of difference between the two. Only the Elites benefit.

        • kep

True communism is utopia, whereas all contribute equally and all share equally. Unfortunately, humans are involved.
What you speak of is what we have seen in the USSR, and what the liberals are now embracing.

          • CCblogging

I have never seen a Communist utopia or even a Socialist utopia. Those ideologies are pipe dreams, they don’t factor in human nature, greed, laziness, dishonesty, etc.

          • kep

Very true. Unfortunately, our youth do not realize this, and are embracing communism as it is presented by college professors.

  • Gnowark

I’m a “slav-american” and as one of the original causers of the term “SLAVE” because of my status in the Moorish society in the 10th century, I’d like to know when our “white oppression” will end? We’ve suffered more than a millennium simply for being white, under worse conditions (worked to death because there was an endless supply from the Caucasus Mountains and no provision for food beyond what I could provide for myself). I remember Thomas Jefferson, who was able to almost completely stop the Barbary Coast enslavement of my people, and I think we should erect statues dedicated to his memory AFTER we begin receiving our retribution for being white slaves.

  • graylens

The so called satire is an ugly, crude, vicious, bigoted, unjustified attack on on a group of people that can not be excused. One should remember that the US suffered over 600,000 soldiers dead, more than lost in all other US wars combined, in a war to end slavery, plus 100,000s of civilian dead and much of the south burned in a war that ended slavery most of the casualties were whites. One should also remember that many “whites” were in Europe as peasants and serfs who were basically slaves in Europe before migrating to the US after the Civil War. The hatred and dehumanization in the so called satire is inexcusable

  • graylens

Let’s remember that Africans and Arab slavers were essential to the slave trade. They captured the slaves and brought them to the west coast of Africa for sale. :”whites” did not penetrate interior Africa until the late 1800’s long after the Brits declared slavery illegal and even after the Civil War. There are many to be blamed for slavery.

  • Sean Rickmin

Blacks are far more racist than whites. If your black and better its black pride,if your white your a racist no matter how you really feel.I feel that BLM,NAACP and ACLU are the most racist organizations in our country.

    • jacob stclair

We can also thank Obama for throwing gas on the racism flames that had slowly subsided over the years.

    • Karen Redd

Yes imagine if we had a WLM or NAAWP, and aclu I wouldn’t want anything as low as that.

  • Kenny Albert

What’s an mlk day? We don’t observe any such thing let alone get the day off.

  • John

The SJWs who wish to attack white people don’t know squat about history. During the civil rights era Doctor King often mentioned the contributions of white peoples i.e. the March on Washington. How many white people lost their lives or were injured during this time? The Freedom Riders brought together by CORE was an interracial protest as was the Selma March.

  • Norm Heller

Time for any white donors to the university to stop giving any money at all. Then you can see where and if donations come from.

    • Karen Redd

Excellent idea, yes they most definitely should!!

  • Leibe ist reise

Sad that some choose to spend MLK day completely dishonoring his dream of people being judged by the content of their character rather than skin color.
They disparage an entire race over skin color, yet call them racist.
Mental illness is the norm for the unhinged left.

  • rennyangel2

Blacks never gave anyone the right of free speech or expression. The Bill of Rights amendments were all written by white people of European descent. Blacks and other minorities are culturally appropriating white rights and should be shamed for them.
And diversity is divisive, not unifying.

  • David Carpenter

“To clarify any confusion, the university does not manage the content in the Thresher but is very disappointed with the failed attempt at satire in this Backpage piece, which is offensive and contrary to the inclusive and tolerant values of the institution,” the administration wrote.”

Had this ‘satire’ had been aimed at any other race but ‘white’, I’d be willing to bet that there would have been some instant management aimed at the content in the Thresher.

  • Fed up!

Every time a University makes rude statement of Caucasians, they get their ahole reamed out and backpedal like there no tomorrow. Huh but but that’s not what we meant huh huh….

  • Joseph111

    .
did you ever notice that the only real racists tend to be black???
    .

  • Leroy Mosley

STOP THE NONSENSE NO ONE GOING TO ATTACK YOU WALKING DOWN THE STREET YOU DO IT EVERYDAY.

  • humpajumpa

Should have written your ”clarification’ to begin with.

  • Leroy Mosley

FOR STARTERS THERE ARE BAD PEOPLE IN ALL RACES BUT FOR SOME REASON CERTAIN INDIVIDUALS WITHIN THE WHITE RACE THINK IT’S STILL SLAVERY TIMES AND THAT THEY CAN SAY AND DO ANYTHING WITHOUT CONSEQUENCES.

  • James in Texas

Goodness, what type of course has a 4-year requirement to gain a Diploma in Stupidity? And where are the careers for said Diploma? I surely know that none of my children graduated from College with a Bachelors of Stupid, hoping no parents spent all that money to end with an idiot living in their basement, for life.

  • just care

Yea, that’s a good idea liberals.
Trash talk the White people who will be your future employers. No wonder these idiots are all on welfare.

  • JB

This is Nigbor privilege and it should be banned they say white privilege but bull ship they have more rights than we do now and it’s disgusting they want to be equal but no they don’t they want to dominate everything and it’s got a stop is going to be a civil race war very soon! This article should’ve never made the news. The editor and all those people in that college newspaper should be let go discharge from the college and blocked room any other college. Because they are the racists!

  • Louie Rey

Yes, this is what passes for “higher” education in America today. Writing about jerking off in a sock is considered “journalism” in the halls of academia now. I think Rice is full of Beans. I wonder how proud these kids’ parents are.

  • Patty Cook

If this little tidbit is not racist then I don’t know what is. OK – Freedom of speech – but it should hold true for all races. Bunch of double standard hypocrites.

  • Maggietish

Interesting that most of these universities receive white working-class taxpayers money in order to keep their operation functioning and salaries of professors and staff paid. And two, much of the white working-class taxpayers money goes towards student loans and/or grants for students tuition at the senior varsity. Since they are so anti-white and feel that they can simply continue to discriminate against white people our money needs to start going to them immediately

  • James McCullough

A very Happy Birthday to you Daniel. I look forward to hearing from you

    • Daniel Michael Lynem Sr.

Much Thanks James. I had a most blessed day. Spent it with two of my daughters, their husbands and a couple of my grandkids.

I’m glad to hear from you and I will be getting back to you. Grace and Peace, Daniel

  • James McCullough

    Interesting.

    • Daniel Michael Lynem Sr.

James, I’m assuming by your one word reply that you read the article I sent. I learned this interesting history about 2 yrs ago. There’s much history we didn’t get in school. I believe knowing where we’ve been is very helpful in understanding where we are today. And very helpful in admitting and coming to terms with that truth, so we can begin to move towards a process of Reconciliation and true healing of what divides us. We may not live long enough to see the fruit but we can sure leave our children and grandchildren an example an a foundation for them to build on. It sure isn’t going to be easy but it sure will be well worth the struggle. I’m 71 yrs old. It’s all about leaving a legacy for those coming after me. I just want to finish strong doing the right thing.
