Senate Republicans Condemn Roy Moore, Silent on George H.W. Bush Accusations

(Breitbart) At least eight Republican senators have condemned Alabama Judge Roy Moore’s alleged misconduct with minors, but none of them will yet disavow former President George H.W. Bush after six women accused him of unwanted sexual contact.

The Washington Post released a story last week that alleged Roy Moore engaged in inappropriate conduct with minors. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and several other establishment lawmakers called on Roy Moore to drop out the race after hearing the accusations.

On Monday, McConnell called on Moore to step down. He added, “I believe the women.”

Sens. Mike Lee (R-UT) and Steve Daines (R-MT) rescinded their endorsement of Judge Moore. Sen. Lee once called Moore a “proven, conservative fighter” and a “trusted ally.” Lee said after the Washington Post‘s story broke, “Having read the detailed description of the incidents, as well as the response from Judge Moore and his campaign, I can no longer endorse his candidacy for the U.S. Senate.”

Sen. Daines once said that Moore was a “principled conservative.”

Texas woman Roslyn Corrigan became the sixth woman to claim that she was groped by former President George H.W. Bush. Corrigan claimed that she was 16 when the incident occurred.

Corrigan told Time magazine, “My initial action was absolute horror. I was really, really confused. The first thing I did was look at my mom and, while he was still standing there, I didn’t say anything. What does a teenager say to the ex-president of the United States? Like, ‘Hey dude, you shouldn’t have touched me like that?’” …

Goes to show how those who the Establishment can be swayed by Democrats. Did people do anything to Bill Clinton about sexual misconduct other than impeach him? Seems that politicians can say or do what they want and see if they can get away with it. Will Moore drop out of the Alabama race as many Establishment Republicans want him to do? It will be interesting to see how it all ends.

    • My2PenneysWorth

he was not impeached for sexual misconduct.
He was impeached for perjury about his sexual misconduct

      • Kathryn Jordan

Should have been impeached for both

        • My2PenneysWorth

should have been removed from office for both
But democrats protect their own as evidenced with the latest Clinton scandals

          • Kathryn Jordan

Yes, Bill Clinton should have been removed from office and Core should have taken over as President,

    • Askjrsk

Look how impeachment worked out for Bill Clinton.

      • Kathryn Jordan

        didn’t help

  • harold

Sure they are going against him with this fake stuff. McConnell Pac spent millions for Luther strange and lost. Now they are trying to get Roy Moore out of the way so they can get the lackey they want in there. We need Roy Moore in there just to show Mitch and his cronies are not getting what they want anymore. It’s time to remove everyone and get people in there that are going to work for the people and not themselves

    • richjack4

You pretty much summed it up. Love how accusations with absolutely no proof over 40 years old all of a sudden surface weeks before an election. An rinos are the first to jump on board. Strange huh?

      • dennis w

        NOT REALLY……….

        • Kimberly

          It’s all ORCHESTRATED.

    • Ted Cummins

      Roy gets me Alabama vote.
Not a big fan, but beats the DNC hack that doesn’t have the stones to call himself a Democrate.
Planned parenthood is funding him too.
      20week old abortions is disgusting.
That’s about as bad as putting Granny to death after her stroke.

    • slk5

the rino’s helped write this…liberal socialist mantra #4- don’t worry about what we do, just listen to what we say!!!

  • Maxine Albritton

ted Kennedy’s brother the late john F. was notorious too. Secret service has said that when Jackie went for the weekend for a retreat with the children woman were running up and down the staircase to his bedroom. He was also involved with Marilyn Monroe who might have been murdered. I don’t know about Robert. maybe to busy help john to be so loose.

    • davnkatzr

RFK was just as “loose” as JFK. In fact, RFK even had an on-going fling with MM after JFK.

      • ron buice

RFK was the last person seen with MM at her hotel before they found her dead body. Maybe he just happened to be in the area and heard she was depressed and wanted to try to cheer her up. US attorney generals and presidential candidates customarily do those kind of thoughtful things.

J Edgar Hoover had recorded them having relations. That was the bribe to own the Kennedys. J Edgar was the reason LBJ, against Kennedy’s wishes became the Vice President, and quick path to the presidency.

    • Askjrsk

Don’t forget Mary Jo Kopechne, who he ran off the road with, left her to drown, while running to a country store to call his lawyer. She died a horrible death.

      • Maxine Albritton

that was Ted and he did not report her and the accident which happened at night till ten hours later. If that did not beat all. I think she was pregnant too.

        • Kimberly

Yes, and Teddy was a good friend of McStain’s. The leftists and the Rhinos like to pick and choose what side of a cause they are on depending on how it affects them personally.

  • Maxine Albritton

not the first time such accusations have been made and not the last. How to sort this out is the next question. is he or not guilty>? Either way he lost the election that is why the left like this stigma, it ruins you no matter.

    • Askjrsk

Not necessarily. This could come out unexpectedly, strange things happen.

  • davnkatzr

Well, of course. Geo HW is a LEADER and all the bushes supporters of the NewWorldOrder and confirmed establishment GOPers . I remember Dubya hemming and hawing when a reporter asked him (as prez) if he was a Constitutionalist, Then the reporter asked him how he classified himself, and he answered, “I am a compassionate conservative.” I thought it strange, but now I understand the bush bunch are AFRAID of Constitutional conservatives – like Judge Moore.

    • Askjrsk

Bushs are simply just afraid. That’s why they cling to and look up to the corrupt Clintons

  • NoBamaNoMo

I am from Alabama and I will be faced with this ugly situation on Dec. the 12th. But here is the biggest problem. Let’s say these accusation are proven correct before the election. What am I going to do on Dec. the 12th.? Who am I going to vote for? What are my choices? They are Judge Roy Moore (Republican) and Doug Jones (Democrat) and that’s it (forget the write ins). And there is NO WAY that I will ever vote for a miserable democrat or Doug Jones and not voting is not an option. So Judge Moore it will be, come rain or shine and if he wins then the Senate can deal with this later, but I am not going to hand the election over to a democrat only to find out later that they did it again, smeared, maligned and destroyed a good person. I urge all Alabama Republicans to do the same and let justice run its course.

    • My2PenneysWorth

I think they should delay the vote until this is cleared up another 60 days might be what is needed.
and if the accusations are proven to be true then a new primary should be held

      • Bill Harrison

This will not be cleared up in 60 days or 600 days. Accusations with no evidence except he said she said.

        • My2PenneysWorth

agreed, but one could hope that the money trail could be found faster

          • Naval Lint

I don’t recall any mention of a “money trail”…unless you’re talking about checking the finances of the accussors. That would be a good place to start with, in my opinion.

      • Rusty

I always believed in INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY, so go ahead with the election and then and ONLY then should there be any action taken! I know women shouldn’t be abused or harrassed in any way BUT I myself have been in a situation that an innocent incident turned into a complete LIE from the woman involved so that could happen not to mention the obvious political motivation!

        • My2PenneysWorth

However, because of these unproven accusations some people will either vote for the communist sympathizer or not vote at all.
I would prefer they be cleared up before the election is held and if he is innocent then the people who condemn him should all be forced to apologize or resign from their positions

    • davnkatzr

Well, remember when Clarence Thomas was nominated for the SCOTUS. A woman named Hill – and couple of others – accused Thomas of sexual misconduct. The demoncraps AND establishment GOPers started demanding that Thomas “step aside”. Investigation PROVED Hill was hired, coached, and well paid to make the claim. This business with Judge Moore is nothing more than a repeat of that scenario, The only question I have is who is paying Judge Moore’s accuser – demoncraps and/or establishment GOP. After all, McConnell led the Est. gop to spend $Millions to defeat Moore but it didn’t work. I hope it does not work this time either.

      • Maxine Albritton

we seem to have republicans in congress that don’t seem to realize what party they stand for. we need to help them out. When their election is due remember to have them changed out.

    • Mary Cosmah-Johnson

I am proud of you. Not from Alabama, but lived in the South my life, true southerns
Know the truth.. Men in high positions are set up more than any.
If these are so truthful, it would have known long ago.
Praying for the truth. Roy Moore in a good man, I believe he may have befriended young people, but not molested them.
A hug here, a encouraging word, a safe ride h ome, hope not deadly in any way.
This allread women has tried this many times. I as a great grandmother would i me to tell her a few things.
She is only hurting innocent people. His children, wife etc.
Stop doing the left-wing and George soras dirty work. Oh yes Mitch and his past is not too clean.

      • Askjrsk

        Well said.

    • Kimberly

I totally agree NoBama and would do the same thing as you!

  • davnkatzr

By the way, when Trump was running for POTUS, dubya bush famously stated, “I am afraid I will be the last Republican president.” Actually, I truly hope he is correct – that he is the last ESTABLISHMENT GOP ever to be elected and that from now own only Constitutional conservatives will get elected.

    • Askjrsk

That’s sure a mouthful for Doubleya, was it written in big letters on a cue card? After much practice….

    • Kimberly

Dubya has been a total disappointment. I did not see him back then for how he truly is.

      • Robert Wayne

I knew Bush Jr. was worthless when he let Obama kick him around like a dog without saying a word. What a gutless creep. But then he attacks good men like President Trump and Judge Moore. Scum like the Bushes, McConnell and McCain aren’t the least bit conservative. They’re left wing Democrats behind closed doors.

        • Kimberly

          Lol. I totally agree Robert.

  • Francisco Machado

Bush, significantly, isn’t running for office. He’s not a hot contemporary issue. The accusations against Moore have the appearance of being genuine and are certainly serious, but the timing of them – after forty years with no mention – seem suspicious, particularly given the history of artificially generated political attacks (largely by Democrats). Reid’s “He didn’t pay his taxes” (and “He lost, didn’t he?”) – the ongoing Russian fiction bought and paid for by the Democrats, the cost and involved process going into, its use as justification to bug the Whitehouse, FBI/justice department collusion… True, the Republicans launched attacks against Hillary but there was undeniable evidence behind those. False or inflated accusations are too common in politics to be accepted without proof – and the burden of proof should rest upon the accuser. “Prove it didn’t happen” is a juvenile ploy to burden the accused, to place the accused on the defensive.

    • Naval Lint

It is IMPOSSIBLE to prove a negative concept. Without EVIDENCE, it’s also impossible to PROVE guilt.

  • ted towny

Question of the day. How much difference in age was there between Bill Clinton and Monica vs the woman accusing Moore and Moore????? I know do you?

    • My2PenneysWorth

age difference is not what they are pushing
what they are pushing is that one of them was “14” and under the age of consent

Of course they won’t touch ghwb, he’s just one of the GOOD-OLD-BOYS!!

    An ESTABLISHMENT reTHUGlican (read RINO)!!

You do NOT criticize your own kind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • tCotUS

Rino’s know they are part of the swamp…Of course they will side with the Dems. The cess pool needs to be drained faster before the turds plug the drain.

  • SA Ander

    You sound surprised,.

  • Gregg Parker

They don’t see that their alignment with the elitist agenda is causing them to identify themselves… the more they stand up with false and unproven attacks on him, the more we know who is the establishment turds we need to flush…. WP will settle before they reach court and ALL the remaining acussers will be found out like the three which have been already…

  • Sylvia Avila

No Surprise! MSM afraid of Bush’s Dynasty’s! Bush’s bloodline goes all the way back to the Queen’s. So they are part of Royals, they are also related to many royal people since Charlemagne. And they know it, so they believe No should touch them No matter what crimes they have committed. So here again the Rich Royalty can and do get a way with anything!

  • Askjrsk

Bushs really are scum bags. There is no doubt that the old man financed Hitler. HW has baggage that still has not been unpacked. After he passes, we will learn more. What’s the real reason H.W. became Reagan’s Vice President? W a major disappointment to many of us. Elections held today, W. Would not be re-elected. Jeb and Billie, well, they are probably into boys. Jeb is often mistaken for HW. Old man, senile in a wheel chair grabbing women while his camotose wife stands by him. No wonder they cling to the Clintons.

  • jaybird

The purpose of bringing this crap out now is political, get over it. Forty years ago I was in my 30’s and was fighting bosses off all the time and other male employees. It was not right but that was the mindset back then. Gotta move past it.

  • Louie Rey

Isn’t everybody guilty of sexual misconduct nowadays? Hey, has anyone seen The Pope’s hands lately? These women who’ve accused of George H. W. Bush of inappropriately touching them must have really sensitive butts. I mean let’s face it, the guy’s in his nineties. How much pressure can he put on anything? I bet Barbara wishes he was a bit heartier.

  • Ted Cummins

Mitch wants to keep his GOP as close as he can the The DNC.
    The Clintons own the DNC.
    The Bush owned the GOP.
    Clintons are the Bushes.
    Trump wrecked that.
    Sucks for them.
It’s about time we have 2 political parties.

The Bushs have lost so much respect. As have the Clintons.
Since Regan, the GOP was hijacked.

Comparing a swamp creature to a true Conservative! A Trump backing Conservative.

  • GA-LAW-75

McCain/Bush/Biden/Clinton I guess it’s OK for establishment abusers.

Albeit, unproven, murky, suspicious, accusations against Judge Roy Moore of 40 years past are deemed to immediately convict and label him guilty.

I don’t think so. It’s obvious what the establishment is doing here.

Another case of the pot calling the kettle black.

Pray for Judge Moore, our President, America, and Peace.

  • James in Texas

We, the Deplorables, have given the GOP everything they wanted for a majority! And, this is what they give us……………….Which appears a great big “Middle Finger” for our help. If they cause this man to lose we must give them what they have given us, only much more painful. The GOP is lost in it’s own mind and don’t care what the people want or demand, why should we continue to support them.

    • Kimberly

James, I totally agree. They didn’t care what the people wanted during the election season and they don’t give a crap now, either. It is this very behavior that got Trump elected (again, despite the GOP doing everything they could to deny him the nomination). I have had it with the traitors in this party. Look at Sessions now. What does he call the Mueller investigation if not politically motivated? He needs to go ASAP. As for the rest of these traitors, they MUST BE VOTED OUT!

      • James in Texas

TERM LIMITS for All elected positions, all the way down to the “Dog Catcher”! We must now know that we can’t trust our elected rep’s to do the work of “The Peoples”, but we can know that they somehow always get re-elected and also get richer each year! All at our expense.

  • Altitude

The nation has ignored similar accusations against Bill Clinton. Hillary called his accusers witches looking for 15 minutes of fame, although she now says every woman’s charges should be examined. We have a shifting moral indignation.

  • J.B. Young

Any senator who does not support Moore, we will not support on their re-election.

  • 2 cents

Personally I believe the last woman was sexually assaulted but she should of came out earlier with the allegation than wait twenty years just to get publicity, plus it was only a girl and not little boys.

  • Robert Wayne

I never have trusted these neocon RINO phonies like the Bushes, McConnell, McCain or any of these establishment politicians who are attacking Judge Moore. Behind closed doors they’re just as evil as the left wing Democrats that they pretend to oppose while campaigning. I only wish I lived in Alabama so I could cast my vote for Judge Moore and against the GOP RINO hypocrites.

  • potusYUGE

Rinos are the downfall of the Repub party! You SOB’s are lucky Trump ran as a repub!

  • Kathryn Jordan

I’d like Sessions out of the Attorney General’s office. He lacks the ability to hold that post. I just hoping that someone in the DOJ will open a second special counsel to look into Hillary’s involvement with Uranium One, the Clinton Foundation, the FBI email cover up plus her rigging the DNC election. Bill Clinton needs to be held accountable for his crimes of sexual assault on women. We need to go after both of them.

    • Kimberly

I want that, too. We shall see what happens. Only time will tell, and perhaps, like many believe, there are things going on that we are not privy to.

      • Kathryn Jordan

I really wish Sessions had been honest in his confirmation hearing in the first place; then we would probably not be looking at something like this. You are right, only time will tell. Wish we knew what was going on that we are not privy to.

  • Does bit** mcconnell actually believe that rino GW.bushes arm has stayed in the same a** grabbing position for 9 or 10 years? They’re both losers. The GOP party is gone, and they’ve taken what could have been a great 4 years with them. There are some solid conservatives left, but we have traitors to the Republican party like mcconnell, mccain, and many other rinos to thank. The democrats will rebuild their party because through lies thick and thin they stay together. I feel a big republican loss coming in 2018 because the traitors that wouldn’t back Donald Trump. The 2018 voter are going to see how they stabbed their leader in the back because he didn’t have to be a politician for years to become president. He simply told them what he was going to do if he became president. And they screwed him on repealing obamacare, to tax reforms, you name it they f***** him on it. What could have been.
