(Joshua Paladino, Liberty Headlines) Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-New York, on Saturday defended the profane comment of her colleague, Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Michigan, who called President Donald Trump a “motherf***er” last week.

“Republican hypocrisy at its finest: saying that Trump admitting to seχual assault on tape is just ‘locker room talk,’ but scandalizing themselves into faux-outrage when my sis says a curse word in a bar,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote on Twitter. “GOP lost entitlement to policing women’s behavior a long time ago. Next.”

“I got your back @RashidaTlaib,” Ocasio-Cortez continued. “The Bronx and Detroit ride together.”

Tlaib made the comment during a reception welcoming new members of Congress on Thursday in Washington, D.C., Yahoo reported.

“We’re gonna go in there and we’re gonna impeach the motherf*****,” Tlaib said at the event.

In an interview after the incident, Tlaib blamed the outrage on sexism.

“I know that if I was a man it might have been differently,” Tlaib said Friday, in an interview with WDIV in Detroit. “I know that, for me, I’ve always been this way. I mean, I think no one expects me to be anything but myself, the girl from southwest Detroit with a little sass and attitude.”

“I think, you know, President Trump has met his match,” she continued.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-California, said she “wouldn’t use” the language herself, but she didn’t condemn the freshman representative’s vulgarity.

“I don’t think it’s anything worse than anything — what the President has said,” Pelosi said at a town hall, CNN reported. “I don’t like that language. I wouldn’t use that language. I don’t establish any language standards for my colleagues.”
