Lindsey Graham Mocks Elizabeth Warren, Says He Can Beat Her DNA Test

‘You’re gonna find out in a couple of weeks because I’m gonna take this test…’

(Kaylee McGhee, Liberty Headlines) Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., mocked Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., for publishing her DNA test, joking that he could best her in terms of Cherokee heritage.

“I’ve been told that my grandmother was part Cherokee Indian. It may all be just talk, but you’re gonna find out in a couple of weeks because I’m gonna take this test,” he said on “Fox and Friends” Tuesday morning.

Warren released the results of the DNA test on Monday, saying it supports her claims of Native American heritage. But the test revealed Warren has less than 2 percent Native American blood in her pedigree and possibly even less than the average European-American.

The Cherokee Nation slammed Warren for trying to prove her connection to their ancestors.

“Using a DNA test to lay claim to any connection to the Cherokee Nation or any tribal nation, even vaguely, is inappropriate and wrong,” said Cherokee Nation Secretary of State Chuck Hoskin Jr. in a statement.

“It makes a mockery out of DNA tests and its legitimate uses while also dishonoring legitimate tribal governments and their citizens, whose ancestors are well documented and whose heritage is proven.”

President Donald Trump had previously mocked Warren for her claim, calling her “Pocahontas” and saying that if he were debating her in a race, he would consider pledging $1 million to the charity of her choice if she passed a DNA test.

Despite the backlash Warren received—not only from Republicans but from Democrats who questioned the timing of her revelation as they try to control the news-cycle narrative leading up to the Nov. 6 midterm—the senator pressed onward as part of a PR push that seems to be setting the scaffolding for a 2020 presidential announcement.

When asked if he also wanted $1 million, Graham joked that he “wants a casino and a million bucks.”

Trump continued his Twitter roast about Warren’s questionable results on Tuesday.
