CNN Struggles to Find Motive for Transgender Mass Shooter

(Michael Barnes, Liberty Headlines) In the aftermath of a horrendous shooting rampage in Maryland last week, CNN expressed shock that the shooter was not in fact a white male.

The cable news network dutifully reported that “white men have committed many, many more mass shootings than any other group.”

But the shooter, Snochia Mosely, was African-American.

Further, CNN was aghast to learn that Mosely was a woman.

“Snochia Moseley does not fit the profile those of us in law enforcement expect with a more typical mass murderer or active shooter,” wrote James A. Gagliano, a CNN law enforcement analyst and retired FBI supervisory special agent.

But there’s a catch.

Nowhere in CNN’s report did it mention that Moseley was actually born a black man.

From an article titled, “Why Maryland shooter’s gender is so confounding,” Gagliano pontificates throughout 15 paragraphs why a black woman would shoot innocent people when we should expect mass shootings to be committed by white males.

On Thursday morning, Moseley, a temporary employee at a Rite Aid distribution center in Harford County, Md., fatally shot three co-workers and injured three others before killing himself.

The employees were shot both inside and outside the distribution center, and according to CNN, the motive for the shooting is not yet known.

Other news outlets weren’t as socially agenda-driven in their retelling of the horrible event.

According to the New York Post, Moseley self-identified on Facebook as a “quiet” person with a “to myself type of personality.”

But Moseley also said a favorite Bible verse was “an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth” — known to many as the law of retaliation.

“Normally, she was a nice person, but she came in in a bad mood,” a co-worker told The Washington Post shortly after Thursday’s massacre.

“She wanted to pick a fight,” he said, adding, “And then she started shooting.”

Turns out, there are things that could shed light on the despicable tragedy instead of it being portrayed as a mind-bending mystery.

“Moseley’s depraved actions left the experts who track these things undoubtedly shocked and perplexed,” said Gagliano.

But in addition to wanting to pick a fight, authorities said Moseley had been diagnosed with a mental illness in 2016.

A mental illness plus potential workplace grievances may have proved deadly for the 26-year-old, who worked at the Rite Aid distribution center as a security guard.

Perhaps mood fluctuations stemming from gender transition hormones also played a role.

According to The Baltimore Sun, a friend of Moseley’s produced Facebook messages saying the shooter discussed beginning hormone treatment in December 2016.

But for CNN and many other mainstream news outlets, considering that Moseley, born a man, would somehow fit into the 94 percent of “active shooting incidents” committed by men from 2000-13, is strictly verboten.

“This case simply refuses to follow established patterns and expected norms,” Gagliano said.

“And that unknown is exactly what is so damn troublesome and has left us scratching our heads in an effort to make sense of it all,” he said.
