(Kaylee McGhee, Liberty Headlines) Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., continued her rant against Alabama’s new pro-life law, signed by the state’s female governor, and claimed that if men “could get pregnant,” they wouldn’t support the law.

Alabama’s new law bans all abortions (with an exception to protect lives of endangered mothers) in the state and makes it a felony for medical professionals to perform them in the state.

Many Democrats have tried to argue that the law, considered the most restrictive in the country, was pushed through by men, even though it was co-sponsored by female lawmakers and signed by Gov. Kay Ivey.

Ocasio-Cortez claimed as much on Twitter after she retweeted singer and Oscar-winning actress Barbra Streisand, who tweeted: “If these male GOP elected officials could get pregnant, there would be free abortion nationwide.”
