(Michael Barnes, Liberty Headlines) How out of step with Texas values is Nancy Pelosi? Enough for the Republican group “Texans for Greg Abbott” to offer her an all-expense-paid trip to the Lone Star State prior to the midterm elections.

“No Californian represents the principles of big government and higher taxes better than California Congresswoman and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi,” wrote the group’s campaign manager, John Jackson.

While that may be true, millions of dollars in out-of-state political funding has poured into Texas in support of Democratic candidates, much of which comes from Pelosi’s home state of California.

The issue has been a hot topic on the campaign trail, with many Texans having noticed that the influx of political money also comes with California’s progressive values.

Texans for Greg Abbott is the re-election campaign for the state’s incumbent GOP governor, and while humorous, the group is quite serious about capitalizing on how unpopular Pelosi’s liberal California agenda is among proud Texans.

Last week, the group sent a letter to the Texas Democratic Party stating that as long as Pelosi agreed to campaign on behalf of Texas Democrats prior to Nov. 6, they would pay for her airfare, hotel costs and per diem.

The letter essentially dares Texas Democrats, who benefit from the California-based donations, to have Pelosi openly share her “big government, open borders agenda” with Texas voters.

The letter also touts the state’s impressive economic accomplishments, such as being number one in job creation.

“This would be a great opportunity for Leader Pelosi to … witness firsthand the success and prosperity achieved by the people of Texas,” Jackson said.

“Should you accept our offer, I will gladly provide a list of Texas’ finest barbecue establishments so that Leader Pelosi can have the full Texas experience as she campaigns across the state,” Jackson said.

Of course, Abbott’s campaign may want to be careful what they wish for. An HBO special, which premiered last night, claims to document a journey by Pelosi’s daughter, Alexandra, into Trump territory—including Port Arthur, Texas—to discuss values outside her liberal bubble.

Among the takeaways from the program’s teasers: Pelosi’s pre-teen grandson now supports building the border wall.
