CRUZ: Alleged Roy Moore Conduct Merits ‘Criminal Prosecution’

(Daily Caller News Foundation) Texas Sen. Ted Cruz said Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore should face criminal prosecution Monday if the multiple allegations of sexual misconduct with minors are true.

Cruz joined multiple senate Republicans by saying he could no longer support Moore and also went a step further by saying Moore’s alleged conduct warrants criminal prosecution and makes him “unfit to serve” in the U.S. Senate.

“As it stands, I can’t urge the people of Alabama to support a campaign in the face of these charges without serious, persuasive demonstration that the charges are not true,” Cruz said, according The Texas Tribune.

“Both last week and this week, there are serious charges of criminal conduct that if true, not only make him unfit to serve in the Senate but merit criminal prosecution,” Cruz said in the statement.

Cruz endorsed Moore in October before the allegations were released by The Washington Post on Nov. 9. Cruz previously said Moore would “proudly defend Alabama values,” but now Cruz believes Moore should face his day in court if the allegations against him are true.

Moore continues to face multiple allegations of sexual misconduct with minors. A fifth woman came forward Monday to accuse Roy Moore of sexual misconduct.

Alabama law does not allow the Republican Party to replace the candidate on the ballot should Moore step aside. Instead, a write-in campaign would have to occur.

Cruz is on a long list of other GOP lawmakers who have called for Moore to step down from the Alabama Senate race. Moore has made it clear he will not step down anytime soon and has denied all allegations.

WHAT a sick joke Ted crud is. I will do all I can to vote him out of office and get him some honest work out here in the land of working under the crappy laws they passed.

  • raleigh292

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz said Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore should face criminal prosecution Monday if the multiple allegations of sexual misconduct with minors are true.

They waited 30 to 40 years to say anything so it must not have been real. That’s why we have statute of limitations because it’s impossible to defend over accusations that old. If the women were serious, they, or their parents should have spoken up at the time, I believe them. And any parent that allowed it to happen should go to jail for child abuse.

    • Star Wright

      Exactly!

  • Naval Lint

“… there are serious charges of criminal conduct that if true, not only
make him unfit to serve in the Senate but merit criminal prosecution,”
First, this ONLY can apply if TRUE. So, If Moore DOES step down, it will be viewed as an ADMISSION OF GUILT, regardless of the truth. Second, just how does a criminal prosecution occur once the statute of limitations has passed without ANY history or record of a criminal report?

    • D-day

Cruz sure doesn’t know anything about the law

      • Jaye Miller

He’s an Attorney so something smells fishy about his statements..

        • swed

Since when does an Attorney actually KNOW the law?

          • David Kledzik

Well Cruz does. He was Solicitor General in Texas and clerked for a Supreme Court justice, as well as trying over five cases in the U.S. Supreme Court. Alan Dershowitz said of Cruz, that he was a very gifted and bright litigator. So all that being said, this is what makes this even more bizzare. He is parroting the likes of McConnell. McConnell and his cronies who spent upwards of about 30 million to get Luther Strange elected over Moore. Now after all these years, suddenly these five women come forward with allegations. One has been exposed as a killer supporter, and sign language interpreter at her rallies, not to mention all her pro Doug Jones posts. Not sure if it’s the same one as the one that was said to be paid by a Washington Post reporter to fabricate her story. No this is a hit job by democraps and the establishment Rinos. It stinks to high heaven, especially the timing.

          • swed

Cruz may be the smartest guy in the room but he is showing signs of becoming a RINO. The Conservatives have to stick together.

Wasn’t Franklin that once remarked “We must hang together or we shall surely hang separately”.

Standing neck deep in the swamp makes it very hard to stay clean.

          • sschwartz25

I was thinking Cruz would be a great Supreme Court Justice Not now I hope Steve Bannon goes after Cruz now If Moore can find a way to prove two of the girls as liers Cruz would lose the election

          • swed

I am beginning to really appreciate Bannon, he would be a great guy to have at your back in a Bar fight, he would be the guy swinging the broken table leg. Gotta love that attitude.

          • sschwartz25

            so true

          • George Thompson

Broken table leg in one hand. Broken beer bottle in the other. Might even leave the bartender and barmaid generous tips.

          • David Kledzik

Being the smartest doesn’t necessarily make one the most honest. Statute of limitations have run out, and they know it. Because if they hadn’t, they would have to bring their cases to light, and as the old saying goes…… “That dog don’t hunt”!!!!!.

          • swed

There was no crime to tell a Waitress she is cute, more coffee please.
The whole thing was made up as a diversion from their failures and to attempt to damage the reputation of a good man.
These people need a good old fashioned Blanket Party.

          • George Thompson

But easier for their chins to be properly attired for a necktie party.

          • Carol Benson

The Fix is in. Always has been. Ryan, Cruz, McConnell, McCain, Graham should all resign..

          • David Kledzik

Yes they should. But with this matter, it just proves they are trying to hold onto the status quo.

          • buggs

And I could name a few more

          • LARRY PUCKETT

SHOULD ALL BE HUNG! THEY HAVE ALL TURNED TRAITOR, JUST LIKE MCSHAME. THE SWAMP MUST
BE GETTING HOT! I’LL PULL THE ROPE!

          • George Thompson

No. Leave them in. Remember the tale about how to boil a lobster? Put it in a pot of cold water and set the heat on low. Gradually increase the heat. Finally once the water starts to boil, it’s too late for the lobster but just in time for the celebration. All of those you wish hung are just lobsters in the swamp. Now that its water is getting hot, I think we should leave them there until their collective goose is cooked.

          • LARRY PUCKETT

            GEORGE, YOU ARE RIGHT!

          • George Thompson

Should be at least 400 names on your list: all the authentic demonicrats and all those just wishing they could come out of the political closet and win an election as a member of the befouled party.

          • Susan

Where do you get your info on these ladies. I’m interested in reading about it.

          • David Kledzik

Read about it in Conservative Tribune, Western Journalism, Townhall, Tea Party, The Daily Caller, and the Daily Wire.

          • Susan

Will do. I haven’t come across any of those articles about the women yet. I’ll go search for them. Thanks.

          • buggs

…and then he became a Senator

          • George Dunson

I agree with you 100PER. All the frigging STUPID demoRats and RINO ‘S are afraid of being caught with their hands in the cookie jar

          • Gerry Costa

It does have a terrible demoTRASH/rino stench !!!!!!

        • buggs

Aren’t there plenty fish in the swamp?

      • Janthony132

McConnell should be held in contempt by the American people as an example of a true Swampy. If Moore wins, and with Gods help, he will, McConnell is saying he wont let him have a seat in Senate on ethics grounds….We should get rid of him, Song bird McCain and the other “Elite RINO’s” There will be some real issued with the GOP if this is allowed to happen and will be the end of our Republic.

        • Mountain_Dew_518

If Moore wins and they try to oust him they will be taking away the Alabama voters rights. These Rinos have no right to take away my voting rights. If they don’t seat Moore then charges should be brought up against every single one of those Rinos and hopefully unseat them in the process because of saying his is guilty with proof. They still siding with demonrats guilty until proven innocent. What happened to innocence until proven guilty. Unseat McCain also if this happens and McConnell and the others.

          • Carol Benson

Jebby Bush says Trump will be gone by Dec. he and the corrupt Bush dynasty is moving to replace Trump. By Any Means Necessary. Including shooting one Congressman and beating the crap out of another.

          • Mountain_Dew_518

It would not surprise me. Baby Bush did not stand a chance to become president. Tired of the Bushes and yes they are corrupt. I never would vote for baby Bush. Just because Baby Bush got his little feelings hurt and didn’t win they all turned hostile and sucking the Clinton teat. Bushes DO NOT OWN AMERICA, (even though they may think they do) or the people. They show their rear ends because they think just because their name is Bush they should be in command just like Hildabeast.

          • Susan

If Moore goes down, all those other accused had better go down, too.

          • Mountain_Dew_518

            AMEN!!!!

          • LARRY PUCKETT

OH! YOU GUYS ARE BRUTAL! YOU HAVE ALL MADE GOOD POINTS. THE TRUTH WILL OUT

        • D-day

Time for a new party this Republican Party is officially dead to WE the people who actually care about AMerica and it’s future

          • LARRY PUCKETT

I CALL IT AMERIKA! THAT IS HOW BAD IT HAS GOTTEN, IN MY OPINION!

          • D-day

Agreed was just thinking that this morning as I am waking up as if 2016 election never occurred and the swamp is well in control – swamp aka pure evil

        • Carol Benson

The only good thing is that these Swamp Creatures are being unmasked, finally….

        • Susan

Can you imagine the ‘screams to the sky’ that will occur if Judge DOES get in! That would be the second most hilarious day. The first being last year’s election.

          • LARRY PUCKETT

            A GREAT BIG AMEN!!

        • buggs

I have held McConnell in contempt for a very long time. How can good people keep voting in these stinkers I’ll never know.

        • LARRY PUCKETT

THERE ARE PLENTY OF FISH IN THE SWAMP, AND
SOME GATORS TOO! LET’S GET THEM ALL!

      • Naval Lint

I had hopes for Cruz, at first. As a Texas resident, I’m not impressed with him. He seems to be a “sailor politician” as he shifts with the winds of political pressure. Just my opinion….

        • D-day

Yep he sure went low during the election what a phony he is turning out to be

    • slk5

if it is true, i’d be the first to call him down, but this was neatly set up so it’s almost impossible to see who is right…i’m just skeptical about this whole thing!!!

      • UBenHad

Go find the last woman who came out and really listen to her explanation…..then,you put yourself in THAT SCENERIO….would YOU find yourself there?…ask yourself…then ask yourself…how hard up would somebody have to be to resort to where they SUPPOSEDLY parked???..once YOU find out and take some time to think about it…think even YOU WOULD NOT STOOP THAT LOW!….I FOR ONE DO NOT BELIEVE THIS BECAUSE OF THE AREA!!!

        • slk5

          i agree!!!

        • Carol Benson

I was raped in 1960 and jumped out of a moving car. Still have the scars. This whole Side Show is beyond the pale and I frankly don’t believe a word of it because of the TIMING AND THE SAME OLD AMBULANCE CHASER STANDING NEXT TO THEM.

        • Susan

Can you give us the names to look up? or the links?

        • LARRY PUCKETT

          A BIG AMEN!

      • Carol Benson

We will vote and vote but WE THE PEOPLE WILL NEVER GET THE PERSON WE VOTED FOR.

        • slk5

          i got trump…i won’t vote for anyone i don’t want, and thats why he’s here…no new blood, i won’t vote again!!!

      • Naval Lint

My Spidey Sense is tingling as well.

    • Jaye Miller

Something does not seem right that these Republican ‘conservatives’ come out and say if you are guilty, step down and when he doesn’t (which would mean he denies these allegations) swamp creatures want Judge Moore to supply evidence of being not guilty? How do you do that, especially after 40 years? Looks like both sides are working together to keep Judge Moore out of the Senate!

      • UBenHad

I would dare suggest those who are suggesting Moore step down…they are those rhinos …who are rhinos you ask?…democrats wearing a letter R behind their last name who we have found out said one thing but when it came down to brass tacks, they didn’t practice what they preached b4 election and these are the ones who are possibly a part of the “DEEP STATE” who seriously wants to overthrow Trump and anybody who is anti DEEP STATE…they must keep with the status quo and all others must be tossed by ANY MEANS POSSIBLE REGARDLESS IT’S TRUTH OR NOT!!!!..

        • LARRY PUCKETT

          UBENHAD,
YOU SPEAK TRUTH! I’LL BET YOU AND I COULD HAVE A REALLY GOOD CONVERSATION! 🙂

      • LARRY PUCKETT

THIS, I BELIEVE IS THE TRUTH! JUDGE MOORE WOULD STIR UP A HORNET’S NEST, AND THERE WOULD BE A BUNCH OF COMMIES (IN CONGRESS) TRYING TO GET OUT OF THE LINE OF FIRE. I HAVE BEEN STUDYING HISTORY AND GOVERNMENT SINCE 1950, WHEN IT ALL STARTED. LAST COUNT THAT I REMEMBER THERE WERE OVER 200 CARD CARRYING COMMIES IN CONGRESS. I HAVEN’T HEARD THE LATEST TOTAL!

      • Naval Lint

The Swamp knows no party lines.

    • Gregg Parker

Interesting how they waited until the can’t call for a special primary to replace the sitting candidate… smacks of massive coordination…

      • Mountain_Dew_518

Probably because demonrats want the Demonrat that is running against Moore to win. Demonrat Jones also swears that he had nothing to do with it. I do know you cannot trust a demonrat all they know how to do is lie. They wanted to wait so late to try ruin Roy Moore and hope those Rinos will turn on Moore and vote for the Demonrat. Demonrats know this and that is why they waited until it was too late. I still would not vote for Don’t tell the Truther Luther even if he was on the ballot. I didn’t before and I won’t write his name in. I would write my pooch’s name in if it were Luther and demonrat.

        • Gregg Parker

          Right on brother!!!!

      • David Kledzik

Exactly!!!!!! Watch how if Moore were to lose this election, all these women and allegations will just dissappear. It’s a hit job plain and simple. Makes me wish I were an Alabama resident so I could vote for Roy Moore.

        • Mountain_Dew_518

If I were a dishonest demonrat I would vote for you but being as I am a honest true conservative I can only vote for myself. Voter ID laws in AL. Everyone at the polls know me and still I have to show my ID. I don’t mind that because they ask for everyone’s ID where I vote and no cheating unless it happens in the machine.

          • Carol Benson

Calif has voter fraud big time. I hate living here!!

          • Mountain_Dew_518

My heart goes out to you. Hopefully moonbeam and all those liberal judges out there along will Pelosi will all be MADE to Serve time with all those illegals in GITMO. They love them so well then lock them up together so they can all live together happily ever after. I would NEVER EVER go to Californication.

          • David Kledzik

Yes conservatives follow voting laws…… Liberals, well No.

      • Carol Benson

Very interesting timing! That, Folks, shows you how corrupt our government is.

        • Gregg Parker

          Revolution!

      • Susan

Where’s Obama been lately. It seems like it’s been awful quiet in his corner lately….hmmm.

      • David Kledzik

What do you bet that they will say he should step down, and then we should all write in Luther Strange for Senator. Just like the demoncrap congresswoman Knoblaucer said Moores oponent Doug Jones is a good choice. Vote for the socialist……. Yeah right. They are desperate!!!!!

        • Mountain_Dew_518

They are already saying for them to write Don’t Tell the Truther Luther’s name that is Lame Brain McConnell, and all the other Rinos and Demonrats. Demonrats think they will win if people wrote in Don’t Tell the Truther Luther and will cause less votes to go to Moore. Jones, I don’t think is going to win because there are plenty of people in AL that say they will vote for Moore anyway. Don’t trust the Demonrats or Rinos.

        • Gregg Parker

Agreed… and they already broke the write in Strange concept…crazy stuff

      • Naval Lint

This ENTIRE THING reeks of Dem collusion. The stench is sickening.

        • Gregg Parker

Keep your eyes peeled for the next Republicrat blow hole popping up for air!!.. Cruz just outed himself… we can gather our lists of Moby Dickheads as the days progress…

          • Naval Lint

I’m thinking that more and more people would get behind a 3rd party these days. That might be a good idea. Something a good bit right of center, but not so far that undesirables feel comfortable? I doubt that any political party would welcome the likes of either CAIR or the KKK. Unless, of course, you consider the Democrats.

          • Gregg Parker

I agree but again the problem always amounts to splitting the conservative votes and ending upo with demoncraps winning the general…. I think we might be better served by embracing the party that we have and get rid of the swine that have taken over and use it as their personal piggy bank and the other puppets who have no idea what they are involved in… eother way though I’m with you…

    • Maria

You are correct, I see the swamp creatures are all coming out and are prosecuting before all facts are in, they are all judging, prosecuting and sentencing, shame on them.

      • David Kledzik

They must have been absent the day they taught “Due Process” at law school.

        • Maria

          Yes that’s right!

    • Gerry Costa

Naval — If Moore does step down it doesn’t necessarily mean he is guilty. It takes money to run a campaign and the PsOS rnc, and the rinos were very quick in pulling their funding. It is almost like they don’t want him running because he is almost a shoo-in and like Pres. Trump — Moore doesn’t fit in with the swamp criminals. If Moore runs out of money he will have no choice. I agree IF he is actuality guilty of a crime then he needs to step down. We have enough criminals in our government already.

  • Star Wright

Seems like everytime, someone is trying to do a good job.
The DEM’s an Libs, bring up some junk.Trying to get that person in trouble.
Which tells me, that the person they are trying so hard.To get in trouble.
Is actualy doing a great job.And would a terrific job for America.
Looks like, the same junk, that was pulled on Trump.
And turned out that junk was junk.
Maybe Mr. Cruz should reexamine his own life.
    Before he starts creating trouble
    for someone else.
    Amen

    • slk5

trust me, the swamp has a hand in this…i believe all the accusations against the swamp, and i want them to step down!!!

    • UBenHad

Pretty sorry that Cruz has to resort this low to stay relevent!he must be planning on a 2020 run…rhino!!!!!

    • Mike

I supported Ted Cruz over Donald Trump in the primaries. I’m now glad Trump won and I did vote for Trump in the general election without hesitation. What is it about this suspicious story that some supposedly wise people don’t understand? Mr. Moore is only “ALLEDGED” to have done these things. Interpretation is that it hasn’t been proven and until it is every thinking conservative should just shut up. Shows their self righteousness. People will say anything if the price is right regardless of how many lives it shatters. I stand by Moore, as we all should until PROVEN guilty.

      • Carol Benson

Notice the women are coming out of the woodwork and Gloria Allred is beside them. Forty years ago???? !! !!! Now five have come forward within a few days of each other! Left’s motto: By Any Means Necessary–BNMN

Notice the “parents” of “Adam Lanza” today are asking to have their lawsuit refiled against the AR15 gun maker that was thrown out: “Adam Lanza” never existed. Supposedly he shot himself with his AR15, then stood up, walked over to his car, opened the trunk and put the gun in, walked back to the front of the school, and died. A cop was videotaped hours later pulling the AR15 out of “Lanza’s” car trunk. The FBI annual crime report for that year stated that THERE WERE NO HOMICIDES IN SANDY HOOK THAT YEAR (i believe it was 2012): the official, definitive annual report. Thesd Keystone Cops are getting really sloppier and sloppier….

        • Gerry Costa

Carol — where did you find that info about Sandy Hook because I want to dig deeper into that ?????

      • Susan

Yes, that’s how I feel about it. And I’m hoping for the best.

      • Julie Adams

I think it’s scary that someone should be prosecuted for unproven accusations. How can Moore prove a negative? I’m shocked that people are so quick to judge without proof.

        • Lynn Johnston

Why can’t our party figure out (after all this time) that any time a great prospect comes along there will be controversy …that LIBS CREATE . That is all it is. They will do ANY, ANY thing to create havoc, to redirect and cause a disturbance or failure. Biatitches could have come out a long time ago. So I don’t believe them. Getting money now, assuredly. I experienced many things as they describe in my 20’s, in the 80’s, but I wasn’t greedy, so they didn’t affect me!! I could make it on my own at $ 5.00 per hr.

    • Carol Benson

Also I noted the MSMdropped the Vegas shootings like a hot potatoas soon as witnesses reported multiple shooters & Sheriff Lombardo couldnt get his story straight. Four of those witnesses were found dead a few days after they talked to the media. I predicted there would be more mass shootings, at a church or school. There was the church shootings in Texas. Today there were shootings at a Calif school. These attacks are coming closer and closer together as They have to ramp up now.

      • Susan

Oh! I didn’t hear about the California shooting!

        • George Thompson

It was heavily reported not that long ago, Just feed your favorite search engine “California school shooting 2017” and learn. I just did and found immediately 3 stories posted within the last 24 hours from CNN, Fox and the Los Angeles Times. The 4 witnesses found dead rumor, to my knowledge, is not widely reported. As a guess its source is one of those conspiracy websites such as Infowars.

      • Charles Cleveland

“Four of those witnesses were found dead a few days after they talked to the media”
Can you point me to the source of this info?
        Thanks

      • Gerry Costa

Almost gives you the feeling that these mass shooting are being orchestrated by an organization who has the most to gain from them — like the gun grabbing PsOS. Or maybe the so-called “deep state” dirtbags and we all know who some of them are. Just food for thought !!!!

        • Susan

and if that’s the case, they clearly don’t care for the American People, letting innocent people die for the sake of an agenda.

          • Gerry Costa

Sadly Susan — that is a fact. Up until Donald Trump — our government(including Congress) has NOT cared about the American people for many years. I voted for President Trump because he is an American first — he is NOT a politician, which is why they want him out so badly. It has NOT mattered to our politicians what happens to us — they put on a good show but it is all Barnum & Bailey BS. There are organizations existing in this country that will do ANYTHING to accomplish their agenda and nothing is too low .

    • Susan

Well, no. Cruz is RIGHT. Anyone should be investigated and proven innocent or guilty. That’s just the RIGHT thing to do. However, I would expect our leaders to back off until the thing is a settled matter. How unfair for Moore, IF he is innocent. And I certainly hope hope hope he is. He is one of our strongest leaders, and it makes ‘sense’ that political opponents are going to go after him and expose whatever they can.
I hope he gets a fair shake to prove his innocence and I REALLY hope that if folks are lying about him they get more than their ‘just’ punishment.

      • George Thompson

He does not have to prove his innocence and the statute of limitations’ clock has long stopped running for his accusers to prove his guilt. This is why his attackers are relying on the kangaroo court of public opinion to get a conviction. Such a conviction has no legal standing but can destroy even an innocent person’s life. Better to focus our attentions on what truly may be crimes such as trying to manipulate the result of an important election. Such as the recently reported claim that a certain yearbook that appears to have Moore’s signature was signed in DECEMBER and appears like it took at least two people to write it. How come so many of his alleged victims have ties to the Democrat party? How come now and not when Moore ran for other elected positions? How come allegedly conservative senators such as Mike Lee and Ted Cruz have abandoned all their Constitutional principles to swim in the swamp with mitch the twitch from Kentucky or Paul “slyman” Ryan and the other bilge demonicrats? Lee’s and Cruz’s loss of principles has just added their names to my never-gets-my-support list. When first compiled the only line simply said “Democrats”. Now it would be simpler to change that to “None who have ever worked in or for the swamp”.

I’d also like to point out that it is not strange that a man would sign a girl’s yearbook. As a former teacher I gladly when asked signed many of my students’ yearbooks. Some were male; some were female. This was quite common. Some students asked men and women who were important to them to sign their yearbooks. Not common, but did happen. Yearbooks are usually released at the end of the school year, and its signing frenzy abated after a few weeks as more important things like final exams, term papers and for the seniors college applications or finding jobs.

I did not leave the American two-party system. It failed America.

        • Susan

Yes, many teachers, male and female signed my annuals.
AND, I’ve had compliments from men like uncles. Innocent comments…things that would make a young girl feel pretty. But it wasn’t creepy, they were just kind comments that lifted the spirits.

So no, I don’t think the school annual proves anything.
If anything, it merely backs up that he was a nice, kind man.

      • Miss Mellie

I live in Alabama and have observed Roy Moore over the years. These accusations are TOTALLY OUT OF CHARACTER for this Godly man. And therein lies the problem: he is unabashedly Christian. Read his book, “So Help Me God,” and you’ll understand him better.

        • Susan

Thank you for telling me that. It is so wrong for people to cast doubt about a person’s character.

I guess what one might ask NEXT, is, “Have these accusations ALWAYS been out of character for him?” We need to establish a base of people who have known him even in his young days.

Roy Moore has been a distant hero of mine for some time. I would hate to have to deal with losing my trust in him.
          Thanks again for your opinion!

  • D-day

Disgusting Cruz I’m glad i did the right thing and pulled my support for you as soon as Trump entered the presidential race – you, as a supposed Christian, certainly don’t know them by their fruit of which Judge Moore has shown plenty of fruit in the last 40 years – you make me sick

    • Jaye Miller

      Me too!!!

  • CarlB444

I agree Ted, but let’s not hang him until he is convicted! I know I am older than you, but I thought that was the American way. You are already hanging him from the next live oak. McCain had these issues, “during his 2008 presidential when the senator faced his own accusations of sexual misconduct with a lobbyist 30 years his junior”, where were you but on his band wagon? Where are you now with GHWB? Want to pull him out of his wheel-chair and hang him too?The Independent Party is looking better everytime you RINO’s open your mouths!

    • Ddenney1

I agree with most of your comment! BUT Cruz is NO RINO! Like him or NOT he is a Constitutional GENIUS per Allan Derchowitz UBER LIB LAW PROFESSOR said he is SCARY SMART! Cruz 9 -0 in Supreme Court Cases as Solicitor General of Texas

      • undeRGRound

Who really gives a fvck about that when Cruz is basically Lying about Criminal Prosecution???????????
Statute of Limitations, certainly a “genius” knows about that little tripping point against his “argument”…

      • Carol Benson

Wellgenius or not Cruz just revealed his true self

    • Mountain_Dew_518

Songbird McCain did have these issues. Did they ask for him to step down or that he was unfit to serve as senator. NO they did not. McCain should step down. He has no room to talk tell someone to step down since he himself did not.
Teddy Boy Cruz you are a hypocrite Rino and need to step down. You pick and choose who you want to serve with and you and judge others. You need to get out as well. So very thankful Donald Trump is our president and not a Rino-libby as you. Maybe we need to further investigate Cruz. You need are actually a Demonrat disguised as a Republican. If you are going to stay you might want to change party affiliations to Demonrat hypocrite.

      • lorna shores

Mc Cain has already been censhured by the G.O.P. in Arizona! sighting that he always votes with the democrats 99% of the time!

    • Carol Benson

Im a Trumpster & Recovering Libtard. I never voted for any Bush, would stick hot needles in ny eyes first…but Jeb says Trump will be out by Dec so he can move in and replace him. Both parties are vile Swamp Creatures.

  • Paper, Scissors, Glock

I suppose we should expect something like this from Cruz. One little matter he seems to have overlooked is that there is no proof of anything and never will be that Moore did anything to anyone…just allegations by Democrats and convenient ‘victims’ – again – at an election time.

    • David Kledzik

      BINGO!!!!!

  • Ddenney1

I am a Cruz fan but WHAT HAPPENED TO INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY???? I just reasd another blog site that video of one of Moore’s alleged victims working for several Dims INCLUDING Killary!! Still seems like nearly 40 years is a LONG TIME TO WAIT!!! If guilty jail him but people need to remember in Alabama AND MANY other states LEGAL AGE OF CONSENT is 16!!! No excuse but I have seen a trial yet and the LEFT sure stands up for Slick Willie at least until he or she is no longer useful!!!! I wait for the election and see what the Great State Of Alabama does! I wonder what would happen to the left IF Judge Moore CHANGED PARTIES TONIGHT?????

    • Star Wright

And slick willie, was doing things. That should have gotten him arrested an thrown in Jail.
And he an killary are still doing things. That are going to exploud, all over the T V real soon.
      Plus all there Elite friends.
Will be looking to hid some where.
As the poo….is going to hit the fan.Real soon!
      Amen

  • David Peyson

I allege that all democrats in any position of power molested children at some point in time. There, I said it. Now they should all step down from their positions.

    • Ddenney1

Mr Delano FDR’s Grandfather in law said not all horse thieves are democrats BUT all democrats ARE horse thieves!!!

      • David Kledzik

So the apple did fall far from the tree in the case of FDR

  • retired4ever

I agree with Cruz, if the evidence is there he should be prosecuted but then so should Bill Clinton. Not quite the outcry from the left on him as on Moore but then I forgot, he’s a dem, Moore isn’t.

    • Michael G. Wilson

Are you advocating that the statues of limitations be dropped, done away with and we now have no statues of limitations? Damn, I know I saw you shop lift those pair of jeans back in 1982 and we have to issue an arrest warrant because I KNOW IT WAS YOU! They’ll be by your house soon, oh and since you have a couple of firearms, we’ll be sending in SWAT at three in the morning, oh and since this is a criminal complaint we will have to confiscate those guns of yours till you cleared in the court system! Now you just have a great day under the new guilty before trial format!

  • Jesse Hayes

If he stepped down it would like admitting guilt. So far the only accusation that was actually criminal was by a woman known to do this in falseness. Now a new one repped by demtard allred.

    • Ddenney1

Just read another blog site saying the at least one woman was deeply involved with the Dims. Showed pics at several events INCLUDING KILLARY!!! Makes you say HHHUUUMMMM!!!!

      • jmortensen

And none of these dimms are denouncing their favorite rapist BillClinton

        • Ted Paine

Or ted Kennedy, jerry stuffs, Barney Frank etc etc

      • David Kledzik

The sign language interpreter, and major Doug Jones supporter.

    • lorna shores

isn’t it funny that all these women find Gloria Allred?

      • Carol Benson

Naw–Gloria finds them. Probably digging up some graves right now.

  • Lillian DeVore

    Statute of limitations?

  • Jesse Hayes

And why ain’t they hollering this about Menendez.

    • Ted Paine

Who used the ” services” of under-age prostitutes

    • undeRGRound

Wasn’t there an extradition request for Menendez?

      • Maria

        There should be.

  • Kevin Soravilla

Hey Cruz read your law books. Such as statute of limitations huh

  • Francisco Machado

“…until these allegations are refuted.” From something forty years ago? Fat chance. The accusations seem real but the timing of them is highly suspect given that Moore has been a very visible and contentious political figure for decades – and they appear now. Has Obama refuted the allegation that his birth certificate is a forgery? Or Hillary that she release classified documents? Not to judge one way or the other, but keep in mind the dirty tricks of politics – the Harry Reid “hasn’t paid taxes for ten years” accusation and “We won, didn’t we?” – the Russian dossier compete with pissing prostitute? – the Slick Willie/Monica… – Oh, wait. There was a blue dress involved there. Anything to discredit the opponent, and I don’t perceive the Democrats believe there are any limits to it.

    • organic granny

I agree with your comment except that the accusations do not seem real at all to me.

Todays liar had a fake yearbook with a supposed Christmas message…yearbooks are printed in the spring after photos from the entire school year have been collected. And what a smarmy, fake message, signed with “DA” after his name???? Why would she have been carrying around a yearbook to meet him, anyway? It’s obviously a manufactured, idiotic fake piece of “evidence.”

    • UBenHad

That’s my point…slick Willy had way more evidence and I didn’t hear the 1st person telling old slick that he MUST STEP DOWN!!!…THEY INSTEAD ATTACKED MONICA LEWINSKY INSTEAD!!!…with that there was prove…EVIDENCE!!!..here,we have zero evidence and merely a she said,he said scenerio….with not enough evidence in which to criminally prosecute any kind of a case and get a conviction…as one can prosecute a ham sandwich, the problem is….is there enough evidence to get a conviction?….nope!…no pictures no dna…no conviction….unless somebody going to resort to torture and force a confession?…and THAT would be breaking the law…

      • organic granny

Yes, but hillary the feminist led the charge against monica…we all know her MO…buckle or die!

      • David Kledzik

Really this isn’t about evidence folks. It’s about a smear campaign to turn people against him, so he doesn’t win office. They know none of this would stick, being that the statute of limitations has expired. Because if it hadnt, they would have to put up or shut up. They know the Jones candidate is way behind, and they want to level the competition by putting doubt into people’s heads. Wake up I say to those voters in Alabama, they are using psy-ops on you.

    • David Kledzik

I don’t think they seem real. Heck I can say I saw Elvis working at a Walmart in Memphis, just doesn’t make it so.

  • Jean Franklynn

so no more innocent until proven guilty, lets just hang everyone that is accused of a crime, or misconduct, I want to accuse congress of not doing a damn thing can we execute them now

  • Peter J

Cruz, this is America. Everyone is innocent until proven guilty. Let me restate… innocent until proven guilty. Get with the program. I believe we will see one congressman or senator accused after another as the stale liberal racist and hater cards have played out, the Russian involvement conspiracy seems to be ready to bite Obama, Clinton and Holder on their collective rear ends and the Orange Man comments have gotten old and boring. In fact, they are as stale as those little minds who type that stupidity.

  • Moe Phillips

Funny, but I thought our principles stated…..”INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY”…
    If that is true, then Moore doesn’t need to “prove anything”;
Let the charges be made…and see if the prosecutor can prove it/them

  • jmortensen

Cruz should take care of his own faults before throwing stones on very suspicious accusations..
seems weird that they come out now.. typical dimm plot

  • organic granny

What is wrong with these people proclaiming guilt without a shred of evidence??? Or proclaiming guilt at all???

This kind of holier-than-thou crap makes me SO happy that cruz is still in his little elected-seat bubble. What a jerk.

Hey, Ted! Please tell us something constructive that you and the Senate have accomplished this year. Oh, yeah, we already know the answer is a big, fat nothing.

    • UBenHad

Well, what really amazes me is the one woman who said they were right next to the restaurant dumpster when he tried feeling her up….seriously!!…with that smelly dumpster that they had to find stinking to high heaven!!!!ask yourself, why would somebody have a indecent rendezvous and decide to park right next to the business dumpster?…i had a business right next to a restaurant and there wasn’t a day that went by which caused some unpleasant odors to blow 100 ft to my business…..very unpleasant and not somewhere it would be ideal to grin and bear it jyst to get ur kicks….

      • organic granny

I wonder what year this allegation supposedly took place? What town? It was well into the 80s before my small town bought the dumpster trucks and made the rental containers available to businesses.

        • UBenHad

The woman said she worked at a restaurant in GADSTDEN,al…and ANYBODY knows the heat WILL do a number on anything including carcasses…they get to stinking if it wasn’t for the “highway cleanup crew”…BUZZARDS…😉and with this being a sexual nature…what person with common sense would be rolling up right next to a foul smelling retched dumpster which CONTAINS FOOD!!!…would YOU go parking next to a foul smelling dumpster?..i for one no matter what reason…i would not!!!!

          • UBenHad

Even so,she did indicate using her own words that he parked next to a dumpster….AND SHE WASN’T SHEDDING ONE TEAR…NO SEVERE LOSS but was seriously coming out with her story as if she had memorized it…

          • organic granny

Yes, they all really need acting lessons…

  • bornamericanandproud

Ok Einstein… what if they are NOT true????? How the flying phk does one defend themselves from lies/ smears from 40 GD years ago????? Dam glad your backside got ur clock cleaned by DJT and HE is on the WH and NOT YOU!!!!

  • Ted Paine

Moore wouldn’t be the only sob unfit to serve in the Senate. There’s about 85 unfit- already there.

    • Jaye Miller

      Absolutely!!!

    • Sardonic Grinner

I CAN DO THIS FOR DAYS PHUCKWAD

  • UBenHad

Where is the EVIDENCE IN WHICH TO TRY MOORE IN A COURT OF LAW?…right now it’s only a he said, she said….and as WJC had alot MORE evidence that was against him and the Democratic party stepped in along with HILARY and had no rape charges brought against him in a criminal court. That sure was more of a slam dunk case vs this one which has no physical evidence but of these women who waited 40 yrs to come forward and my question is why?…why now with no physical evidence and no charges filed with police shortly after any of these incidences?this is,only all too suspicious ….especially the one woman who indicated that he grabbed her while she was alone in his car BY THE RESTAURANT DUMPSTER WHICH HAD ROTTING,STINKING DECOMPOSING FOOD WHICH WAS DISCARDED…and to suggest that a sexual rendezvous took place between this woman and justice Moore during his tenure NEXT TO A DUMPSTER IN GADSTDEN,ALABAMA is really stooping low!..who in the heck would park right next to a stinking filthy foul smelling dumpster!?…yeah, right!…that didn’t happen…not next to a dumpster of all things!!!!

    • Jaye Miller

Lol, I had to laugh at your description of the dirty, stinking, smelling dumpster! But I agree, this smells fishy and stinks of something more nefarious against the Judge…

      • UBenHad

I had a business and am married to a state trooper and at times he went out behind my property and went looking to see if somebody had died because the stench was THAT bad!…seriously,I am NOT buying that they had rolled up next to a dumpster in GADSTDEN and NOT be smelling the rotting food in the dumpster!!!!

      • John

It smells of a political hatchet job by a desperate democrat party and their propagandists. The little “evidence” that has been brought isn’t standing up to the most basic scrutiny.

  • rennyangel2

Except for murder, aren’t most of these 40 year old allegation passed their statutory sell date? EEOC harassment claims must be filed within 180 days. Sexual assault, a criminal offense, would vary by state, so in AL rape or violent sexual assault for someone under 16 has no limit, but otherwise, these allegations are mostly that the judge may have dated older teenagers, Only one woman claims she was 14, and she is not alleging Moore raped her or physically assaulted her sexually. I do not get the furor and outrage and all the pre-judgment and disavowal of someone 32 dating an 18 yr old or even a 16 yr. old. In Gone With the Wind, when Rhett starts chasing Scarlett, she’s 18 but he is 38.

    • Jaye Miller

Yes because there’s something more to this whole story!

  • organic granny

These days, anyone can accuse anyone of doing anything at any time and get paid a bundle for tattling.

Hey, dems! Contact me at 800-BIG-LIES. I have some ideas!
I’ll put out some dirt for a new BMW and some cash.

  • swed

This is the best reason for Judge Moore to stay in the Race.
    Cruz is becoming a RINO.
He should be attacking the fraudulent accusers not an Honorable Man.

    • Michael G. Wilson

Cruz has always been a RINO and he just puts on the innocent conservative face at election time to appease his voter base, but after the election he does what he believes he has to to keep the money coming in! We all have heard the same old song and dance, “It’s not my fault, they made me do it, I had no choice, it’s their fault not mine, I never meant to vote that way, but I just had to, don’t you understand the dirty tricks they pulled on me, and we had to vote before we could read it, don’t you all know!”

      • swed

Oh but we need to vote on it so we can see what is in it, Famous Piglousey quote.

  • Raymond Miller

Hey Ted I stuck by you when false allegations were aimed at you. Lets wait for the facts to come out, Do the Swamp Creatures have something on you and are they black mailing you?

  • Maxine Albritton

whoa so we declared the man guilty. there are two things I find that may be relevant to his defense. One, no one has come forth that was recent all are as old as Methusla. over thirty years. two, this recent one said her proof was his signature in a high school annual or yearbook. |That just proved he signed her year book, no crime there. also she claims he stalked her at work as a waitress. did she bring her year book to work: did she get molested and then let him sign it. This makes no sense. Her boyfriend comes for her, why would she get in the car knowing her boyfriend was coming to pick her up and he did but the alleged damage was already done however, she tells the boyfriend nothing. a decent defense lawyer should have a hayday with this one but a liberal jury will want to hang him anyway. this guy is so bad yet we lived with the kennedys all three of them, and
Clarence Thomas was charged, oreilly was charged now that he is fired I hear nothing further about any sexual misconduct. I thing this man is innocent until proven guilty. could be a witch hunt. they are already trying to burn him at the stake..

    • David Kledzik

Yeah….. He was stalking her, yet she supposedly let him sign her yearbook. Yeah Right!!!!!!!!!

  • Gregg Parker

An alligation is only serious when it has enough evidence to make it so. This has pay to play exposure already. Why Lyin’ Ted is jumping on the establishment band wagon to railroad a patriot candidate is….. hey… wait a minute…

  • Kimberly

Why are these Republicans so tough on Conservatives and don’t call for any friggin’ Demoncraps to face justice? When was the last time Cruz got on his soapbox calling for Bill Clinton or Hellary or Rice or Lynch or Comey to face justice?

  • Kitty

Criminal charges???? You must be kidding! For what? Only one of the accusers was 14 at the time he touched her (no rape claim) and this woman has no credibility. She has been divorced numerous times, and filled sexual assault charges against 6 ministers over the years – a real nut job. Hey Cruz are you drinking the same cool aid as McCain?

    • Michael G. Wilson

Well, he doesn’t want to be cut off of the RNC teat!

  • scott forman

I am terribly distressed at Cruz’s comment. Moore has done nothing wrong but to challenge the RINO establishment. Has Cruz become part of the corrupt establishment?

    • Mountain_Dew_518

YES. Sure am glad I voted for Trump.

    • Michael G. Wilson

Has he become part of it? He has always been a part of it!

  • scott forman

What we need is a lot of rope and many strong trees to rid our country of the the so called legislators who will not fulfill their oath to uphold the Constitution. 475 trees, to be exact.

    • Grokk Heinlein

Are you suggesting the murder of elected officials?

  • John

The Senate is full of lawyers and each of them is SUPPOSED to have some knowledge of the Constitution and the legal system but all to many of them want to be JUDGE DREDD and pronounce sentence. In ANY other type of case the individual would make a complaint to the police or FBI with jurisdiction, not a biased newspaper with an ambulance chaser beside them. Then law enforcement would take statements, collect evidence, question witnesses and the accused. The prosecutor would determine if the case holds up or call a grand jury. If an indictment is issued, a trial is held and the defendant is able to face his accusers.
Here too many people want to over look the timing, the accusers political associations, the left wing bias of the media, and all of the legal process and just convict.
What are all of you GOPers going to do when they come for you with this same B$.

    • David Kledzik

Best comment of the night…… Period!!!!!

  • Grokk Heinlein

It’s difficult for victims to come forward, at any point. Men in power often abuse that power. So do women. The assumption that it’s a setup in a republican run nation seems off. I’m not sure i want to be part of this group anymore. Most of you are sounding like muzzie victim blamers. Shame on you. Wrong is wrong.

    • John

So ANYONE can simply point and the person is guilty no questions asked? No one can defend themselves , no evidence is needed? If they accused him of murder there would need to be more proof.
Some act like NO ONE has EVER been falsely accused.
DUKE LACROSSE TEAM ring a bell.

In this country guilt has to be proven.

      • Grokk Heinlein

I’m certainly not convicting the man, i was not there. I’m also not going to accuse people of a conspiracy, i was not there.

  • Concerned

Surprised to see Cruz’s comments on this. Innocent to proven guilty. It deserves investigation, but this 14 year old and this 16 year old leaves a lot of issues on their own credibility. We don’t know all of the facts, but both the accusers and the accused need to be investigated.
The 16 year-old describes the signed year-book in Nov. 1977, but the signing date shows 12-22-1977. Who signs year-books in December? All my year-books came out in the Spring. Since the signature, the ink and the text don’t match, the signature by Roy is even questionable. However, we also agree that if he did this, it is unacceptable, but we don’t prosecute in the media.

    • Mountain_Dew_518

People that write books, famous stars and singers, etc…. best not be signing books as it seems there are so many out there that is looking for $$ and you may find yourself in the same boat just because you signed something honestly. No more book signings.

  • organic granny

Get a forensics team busy analyzing the ink of that yearbook signature.
My bet is that the ink was manufactured a year or two ago.

  • Lili J

but now Cruz believes Moore should face his day in court IF the allegations against him are true.
Cruz, I am embarrassed for you.

  • Carol Benson

The RINOs keep this crap up and there WILL BE NO GOP in 2018. The party eats its own just as the damned Dems are doing right now!

  • Susan

I like Cruz, but I really feel he left out the OTHER obvious factor. If UNTRUE, and the women LIED (and probably PAID to lie) than THOSE WOMEN should face charges…and also the people that may have paid them.
I don’t know how anyone is supposed to come up with evidence for this, though. And I sincerely hope that the allegations are NOT true.
In my opinion, the accusations and their timing are highly suspicious.

  • Charles Cleveland

Now Cruz joins the jackals. Either Moore must withdraw, or , ” if these allegations are not true, Judge Moore needs to come forward with a strong, persuasive rebuttal demonstrating that they are untrue”. In other words, Cruz imposes an impossible and unconstitutional burden on an accused. As a lawyer, Cruz is fully aware that proving the negative is impossible. How can one “demonstrate” that an event never happened? Especially after decades have passed, how would YOU prove your innocence?
Whatever became of ‘innocent until proven guilty’? Shame on you, Ted. You should have remained silent, until the facts and evidence are available.
    Sad.

  • Yarbles

    Guilty until PROVEN innocent?

    Hey, Cankles! Hear that?

  • Deplorable Irredeemable Susan

I don’t believe any of this smear campaign.
If this were true he never would have made it to be a Judge.
He never would have gone into politics with this hanging over him.
They are attempting to destroy him because he stands for God and they
don’t. Ted Cruz, shame on you and the other Rinos who oppose Roy
Moore. God is definitely choosing up sides in this world. It is the last
days. This is what the devil’s crowd does, accuse with NO proof, just
    hearsay from 40 years ago!

  • wizzid0

I’m surprised at you, Ted. In America we consider someone innocent until proven guilty. That means yes, “Alleged Roy Moore Conduct Merits ‘Criminal Prosecution’”, but after he is found innocent will the accusers be charged and tried for their false statements? What we are talking about is a man’s reputation and entire career, we shouldn’t be cavalier about that. When I think about all the fake news that’s been thrown about this last year or so, I’m not too antsy to accept everything published in the Washington Post. Add to that the history of the accuser and the proximity to the election and my BS Meter goes off loudly. Remember, it’s the prosecutor’s job to prove the allegations are true, not Roy’s to prove them untrue, and we don’t prosecute in the court of public opinion, especially a subject as serious as this.

So, bottom line, “Shame on you.”

    • David Kledzik

I would change words criminal prosecution to criminal “investigation”. Because innocent until proven guilty. Doesn’t matter anyway, because the statute of limitations has run out. Shouldn’t even be a discussion.

  • buggs

So when did Cruz join the Democrat Party? Or was he always one?

    • Mountain_Dew_518

He is one of those half-breed Demonrat Rino. Promises, Promises, and a do nothing except draw a huge salary and a big smile for the news.

  • buggs

I always thought that the accuser had to prove the guilt of the accused. I sure would NOT want Cruz on my side. And there was talk of him being considered as Supreme Court material. PLLLEEEAAAASSSSEEEEEE.

    • Mountain_Dew_518

So glad he was NOT picked for AG or Supreme Court.

  • WVF

So Cruz doesn’t believe in due process? He’s obviously become a RINO.

  • Allen

Cruz, you just lost me as ever saying anything good about you. You are like Rubio, McCain and McConnell. Worthless.

  • James in Texas

I am deeply discussed about this from my Senator and just ask him……………..”Whatever happened to the thought of “Innocent until found guilty”! Mr. Cruz, you Sir, are spending too much time with the “Slimes” in the Senate and I believe that your time as our Senator will be now made much shorter!

  • sschwartz25

If Bannon could get rid of the 8 republican senators that are running and replace them with Trumpets pick up 10 Democratic senators with the rest that are for Trump that are already there we could save the world

  • T.A. Goodman

Ted Cruz proves that He himsel is unfit for office. As he has failed to uphold the Right of the individual to be deemed innocent unless proven guilty ,beyond a reasonable doubt, by a jury of his peers.
Instead Cruz has accepted political slander based solely on hearsay ..claims from the 70’s..Americans are not suppossed to have to prove that every accusation against themselves is not true..That is considered an undue burden.
Its a common practise for democrats to research a few woman from a man’s past.such as old colegues or schoolmates and pay them to make false accusations in order to ruin their campaigns…Ted cruz proves that he is really one of them.

  • READ THIS: My life did a 180 when accepting the Biblical Gospel Eternal Salvation at 38, … 41 years ago. No person can live and preach the Bible and take the heat Judge Moore has without having experienced that life changing event. Who he was is no longer who is today. MAGA
. I Trust Judge Moore. If there were a basis for any charge, one should have come forward during his many previous battles and campaigns. These highly paid charges weeks before a campaign being fought by the NWO elitist establishment who fear Trump and a man like Judge Moore is evil.
. Remember when Herman Cain ran against Mitt Romney (Panama City money launderer for CIA Bush-Gov. Clinton “Iran Contra” drug smuggling into Mena Airport AK) and how 5 women charged him in the final days of his presidential nomination campaign and when he dropped out the five women dropped their charges.
. The same operatives (RINOs with McCain/Clinton Global Initiatives) tried to take down Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and his name also was cleared prior to confirmation.

  • Donovan Blaylock

Mr. Cruz tell your Women Advisor’s to go home and have Babies, watch soap opera’s and sty drunk enough o satisfy their Husbands when they come home. If they want to dress like the Kardashians send them to work at the Ho House.

  • This is a bag job orchestrated by the democrat left! Moore has been involved in politics for over 40 years and NOW this a problem? Smells fishy to me!

  • Oldtymepatriot

    Key word – IF.
And the same should hold true for everyone who was a guest at Jeffery Epstein’s private island where minors were pimped to them. One repeat guest as listed on the “Lolita Express’s ” flight log has the initials BC and was often portrayed in political cartoons wearing boxer shorts covered in hearts…

    • Mountain_Dew_518

HC from my understanding also was a guest on Lolita Express and Orgy Island.

      • Oldtymepatriot

I wonder if she brought her “closest” adviser with her?

  • ImOffendedTreatMeSpecial

Shut up and go away you stinkin’ swamp rat.

  • Aunt Nonnie S

Thought Cruz was a constitutionalist!! You can’t be barred from the Senate if you have been a resident of the state for 5 years, and are over 30! What’s next? Jailing the mother of the girl who didn’t report it? Why don’t we just wait another 30 years to deal with it?

    • Mountain_Dew_518

They should jail the mother for not reporting it.

  • Pearce Bybee

American Patriots should make a note of every Senator, Governor or Representative who have spoke out against Judge Moore and vote them out of office.

  • Maria

There are good congressmen and senators, but I’m now afraid the numbers are fewer than I thought, this after hearing last night the news of some who have been accused of sexual harrasment and maybe rape, our tax money has been used to pay atty fees and quiet money, those are still in their seats getting paid, such as Menendez. We the people want him and the others to be fired with no more benefits, we need to know who the others are and get them out, this has been going on for many many years, starting with Ted Kennedy. The dirty swamp needs to be drained once and for all!!

  • Bearcat

from what I have heard on FOX news last night the last one that accused Moore of sexual harassment that he denies even knowing her showed prof that he did know her and with that I don’t know what else to say if the man is guilty then he should step down if not fight it till the cows come home

    • Brent

I can agree with you on the course. But these politicians are coming out of the woodwork advocating for a path of action that isn’t supported by anything solid. I find it easy to believe that most people don’t remember the people they interacted with 40 years ago, unless they’re active parts of their life now. Of course if he did attack women then he probably does.

Here are some things that make this look like a witch hunt to me.
      1. Sexual predators typically don’t change. Yet there’s nothing in recent history suggesting this is part of Moore’s personal constitution.
      2. He gets thru close to half a century of public service, and now (in a hotly contested highly polarized time) he suddenly has accusers of misconduct from 40 years ago come out via the Washington Post (known left aligned rag) and a celebrity lawyer that is knowingly aligned with leftest interests. Two of the Wa-Po’s sources are known Democrats, one works for the other candidate up for the same Senate seat.
      3. We don’t see any history of criminality on Moore. Nothing to raise a doubt on what otherwise appears to be a very good career in public service.
      4. What’s the statute of limitations on this stuff? Two of the original accusers didn’t even accuse him of anything criminal. The other was underage per Alabama law, but there was no penetration so I’m not sure what’s prosecutable. This latest one…i’m sure there’s more to come. But given the lack of anything current, and nothing prosecutable, what the heck is Cruz doing here?

  • Brent

Need any more proof that Cruz has globalist roots?

  • Gerry Costa

I have NOT seen anything that says this guy “RAPED” or actually had intercourse with them. I’m NOT condoning, by any means, the touchy feely of young girls but unless I have missed it — that is all that transpired and it happened almost 40 years ago. It seems to me that there is little doubt that this is ALL political BS and Moore should NOT be found guilty by anyone before all the facts are in. These women and Moore should ALL be made to take a lie detector test and NOT just put under oath — anyone can lie under oath — after all we just had 8 years of an administration who lied to Congress under oath many many times. There are many criminals in our Congress and government who have committed more severe crimes than this and they are still there.

    • Bearcat

Mr. Moore lied about knowing the last person that accused him of sexual assault and she had prof in writing he did write in her school year book

      • Gerry Costa

Writing in a yearbook doesn’t equate to sexual intercourse or rape to me. From what I have seen — every swinging person in our Government lies like a banchi about everything.

        • Bearcat

all I said was that he lied about knowing her and when you lie on one thing then it looks bad and not only that he has told 3 different story’s and he has back tract each time

      • Janelle

Bear, I don’t remember who signed my yearbook or whose I signed.
Anymore than I remember people I knew casually who worked in restaurants I frequented. You must have total recall……….

  • Sim Dunn

Mr CRUZ, seem to me you’re finding him guilty of accusations before any proof is offered or found.

and considering where these accusation are coming from and their past history of lying,

Circumstantial evidence so far is stronger than any physical evidence.

Impartial, doesn’t condemn either side until “proven beyond reasonable doubt”,

but “Guilty” is already the verdict for most people.

P.S. I donated to Moore campaign in spite of all the accusation,

Bill Clinton had proof against him, but few wanted him out of office.

    • Janelle

      Some, not most.

  • R M

I really am struggling with all the people jumping up to condemn Moore without a shred of proof. So far all we have are 40 year old questionable accusations that have nothing supporting them other than women saying he did it, none of them ever filed a police complaint or any other kind of official documentation not even with a personal attorney that got buried. Is this how elections are going to be run from now on go find someone with an ax to grind against a candidate, coach them in what and how to say it, make sure it is of a sexual nature and turn them loose. The country is worried about Russian meddling I am far more worried about unprovable sexual accusations. So far it has only been women accusing men, women better watch their backs for men to start accusing women of the same thing that they claim happened. Yes I am aware of the men accusing men but that is not political, yet, but it is just as worrisome because that could be next and that could go against women as well.

    • Mountain_Dew_518

You are so very right. A female special education teacher is serving time now in prison for molesting and raping a couple of handicap students of hers at her home. 3 women in town here molesting and raping boys from here within a few days last year. One teacher at the school here and had her trial and she is in the poky now. She was married and had a child of her own and still chose to do this horrible crime. Another one is in prison as well. They have all been found guilty.
Yes men you do have a right to come out as well against these type of women. Do not let these type of women shame you or embarrass you either. They think they are the only ones that ever get molested, raped, abused. But it also happen to men as well. What is good for the goose is good for the gander. Let them prove they did not do it. Bring these type women down.

  • Miss Mellie

I don’t know who died and made Ted Cruz king of Alabama politics. How in God’s name does one REFUTE 40 yr old accusations?

    • Mountain_Dew_518

Alabama sure as heck didn’t. Is he colluding with the Rinos and Demonrats now to take away Alabama’s votes. Rinos always stick with Demonrats?

  • Kathy Murrayleisure

Excellent analysis, Buck Stearns. Think of the innocents prosecuted as “witches”, men and women, in Salem MA in the colonial era. Native Americans occasionally killed their own independent best thinkers and leaders with multiple false testimonials of witch-craft. INNOCENT until proven guilty. Everyone should read the entire Buck Stearns comment.

    • Buck Stearns

      Thanks so much, Kathy.

This whole sordid mess stinks to the high heavens & really bothers me. The fact that people calling themselves Republicans are so quick to take these accusations at face value & watch a man’s career & reputation go down in flames because at the time it seems to be the path of least resistance is chilling. No one in this country should be considered expendable, especially a man with years of honorable & unblemished public service.

Judge Moore was twice removed from his elected office of chief justice of the state supreme court in Alabama because he stuck to his moral & ethical convictions in the face of public condemnation by the media & those on the Left. You call this Courage; & what is happening to this brave man, Injustice. We should all pull out a copy of “Twelve Angry Men” & watch it again over the weekend to refresh in our own minds what it takes to keep a democracy firmly on track.

  • Janelle

Senator Cruz……….perhaps all of you can explain why congress has been scre¥ing the people in this country for decades………..

  • jcrawdad

CRUZ: Alleged Roy Moore Conduct Merits ‘Criminal Prosecution’

GIVE IT A REST CRUZ !! The people should bring in Fifteen or Sixteen young ladies and swear you played games with them a few years ago, and see how you come out on the other end .

  • jscarano7

  • SammysDad

What a bunch of BS. Star is correct! Cruz is playing both sides of the fence on this, protecting his butt from the Democrat dogs. There is no way the Democrats would have dumped on one of their fellow politicians the way the GOP perverts are. It makes one wonder who initiated these accusations. My bet: McConnell and the establishment who do not want freedom loving patriotic people to be in “their club.”
