Bloomberg expressed some skepticism toward the degree of climate change, but he says the U.S. should respond proactively, just in case.

“Whether or not it happens, nobody knows, but you should take an insurance policy out. If it looks like it might do damage, now’s the time to take steps, and take a look: The oceans are warming and rising, and you see these terrible storms that have killed a lot of people and done enormous damage…and with warmer oceans you’re gonna get more of those,” he said.

Colbert asked why a businessman should worry about climate change.

“The science says things are getting warmer and they will continue to get warmer unless we reduce the amount of greenhouse gases,” Bloomberg said. “And so, the federal government has decided to do nothing, but the citizens, whether they are companies or individuals or local governments have said okay, we’re going to take it into our own hands and we’re going to cut our greenhouse gases.”

Then he shared an optimistic view of climate change, which is never admitted by progressives.

“America has actually been leading the way. We’ve closed half of all our coal-fired power plants in the last few years,” he said. “We’re gonna meet our goals that we agreed to in Paris, even without the federal government.”

“Is it up to the private sector to help after natural disasters now that the government is slow to respond?” Colbert asked.

“Governments are big and it takes them a while to get on the scene and start helping people. In the meantime, the private sector can do things very quickly because they don’t have all the bureaucracy. And I think we have an obligation as fellow human beings…to come to each other’s aid,” Bloomberg said.

    So … in that scenario?
Nobody knows, if I’m going to rob you, Mr. Bloomberg
But, why not give me all of your money, just in case?
    Makes perfect sense to me.

The people who benefit from the anthropomorphic climate change hoax are corrupt politicians and greedy opportunists like Algore. That’s why they lie about it constantly and belittle people who call them out.
